Analysis of Business Model:

UberEATS: The Online Food delivery Giant works on a Three-sided business model!

 Restaurants provide commission on the orders to UberEats

 Eaters pay the delivery charges, and at times, cancellation fee
 Drivers make money by making reliable deliveries on time.
Now let’s see the unit business economics ;

Suppose; A Customer ordered a burger from MNO restaurant that is priced at Rs.250 Order
Value + Rs.50 Delivery Charges. The order will be delivered by the delivery person at your door
and the delivery boy is currently 3 miles away from your location.

So

 Amount paid by Customer: Rs.250+ Rs50 =Rs.300

 Amount received by MNO restaurant: Rs.250 – (30% commission on order) =
Rs.175
 Delivery Charges: Pickup Fee + Delivery Fee + Per Mile Charges = Rs.5 + Rs.15+
(Rs.10x 3) = Rs.50
 Net Revenue for Uber Eats = (Rs.300– Rs.175) – Rs.50 = Rs.75

And Ubereats also make revenue from advertisements and promotions they do for restaurants.
