HOW TO TURN ON AND MAINTAIN THE ELECTRIC ARC

Materials and Equipment:

• Electrodes E-6013 “1/8”

• 4 ”x 6” x ¼ carbon steel plate

• Electric arc welding mask

• Carnaza gloves

• Carnaza apron

• Carnaza sleeves

• Carnaza Leggings

• Wire brush

• Picata itch scum

• Welding machine

• Safety glasses

Steps:

 First step: Clean the part with the steel brush

 Second step: Place the material on the table.Also the piece must be
secured.

 Third step: After Turn on the

machine.

 Fourth step: Adjust the amperage of the machine according to the

electrode.
 Fifth step: Fix the ground connection on the welding table.

 Sixth step: Place the electrode in the electrode holder clamp.

 Seventh step: Light the

bow.

 Eighth step: Keep the electrode at a distance equal to the diameter

of its core.
 Ninth step: Turn off the arc, removing the electrode from the piece.

 Tenth Step: Repeat the steps as many times as necessary.
