Mian Muhammad Nawaz

Summary:
Mr. Mian Muhammad Nawaz has earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from the
Government College of Science, Lahore, Pakistan in 2005, and his Master’s Degree in
Geographical Information System from University of the Punjab, Pakistan in 2007. He
is recently enrolled in Masters of Applied Geographical Information System and
Remote Sensing in Salford University, Manchester UK and degree is expected in 2011.

He started his career in 2006, has worked in various originations in three regions like
Asia, Arab, and Europe. Currently he is working in Capital surveys as GIS Engineer in
United Arab Emirates Abu Dhabi. His current career embraces major administrative and
GIS technical expertise, as he is supervising GIS & Remote Sensing units in Capital
Surveys, Abu Dhabi UAE.

As a GIS professional, he has developed excellent managerial skills through attending a


number of training courses and workshops. Through which, he has acquired a wealth of
experience, knowledge, and skills in many aspects related to leadership & administration
such as: operational leadership, strategic management, and effective managerial and
behavior Skills.

He represented the organizations in local, regional and international events such as:
World Urban Forum, World water forum Conference. He has also presented and
published papers in his field of expertise. He is a member of the American Association
of Geographers (AAG), Canadian Institute of Geometrics, and The Global Network
for Environmental Sciences and Technology. He is the focal point/liaison between the
Capital Surveys and many national and international agencies/organizations.
