An indelible retreat in Bethlehem House of Prayer

People come and go but those precious ones who shared the most momentous memories
with you will surely have a special spot in your heart. As I enjoyed our big and last bonding
together, I knew that it will always be one of the memorable experiences in my entire life. This
unforgettable experience happened way back February 21, 2015 in the so called paradise within
man’s reach and in the place where I really felt nostalgic, the Bethlehem House of Prayer.

It was a cold and gloomy morning when we went to the place where we know that we
will be learning, enjoying, and lastly, bursting into tears. My classmates and I were full of
excitement. At last, we arrived and we were dazzled into the place for it was such a paradise to
us. This place gave me an unexplainable serenity. As we wandered, the soft touch of the cold
breeze gently touches my skin. Glancing into the clear blue sky with cotton-like clouds makes
me think that it was really a beautiful landscape that everyone might look at. The solemnity of
the place invites me to reminisce those sweet and memorable moments that we have shared for
many years. For once, the place takes me away from the fact that my classmates and I, which
was once a family, will be parting ways sooner.

As magical as the place, the last bonding that we had that day is really the best. We were
given the opportunity to have an open forum so that our friendship will be stronger than it was
before. Remorse faces were entirely seen on each one of us. As solemn as the ambiance of the
place, all of us were very sincere while apologizing, crying, and saying a lot of things to each
other. After all of that, hugs and appreciation invade the place. Of course, we won’t waste a
second. We bond as it was our last day of being together. Everyone has smiles that no one could
ever explain. Suddenly, the rays of the sun touched the paradise and it gave us the brightness that
caused our “family bonding” to shine the most in the place.

The experiences were great as it contributed hope for a new life, discoveries, and better
future. We were really inspired for the life lessons that the amazing instructor told us. He did
everything just to make us realize how blessed we are in taking our journey of life because our
dear God is always there for us. Since graduation day is almost there, cheering us up and giving
us advices for our future career are successfully done by our instructor. He’s like an angel in
disguise, guiding us that day so we will be prepared in the future. The place is getting dark and
our memorable retreat is finally over. We went home with mixed emotions in the heart knowing
that we will be returning again to reality.

The Bethlehem House of Prayer gave me so much to remember. The ravishing scenario
and ambiance, the unexplainable happiness with my second family, and the lessons that inspired
us will always be treasured. This so called paradise gave me both melancholic and blissful mood
about our past memories and about our great retreat. It will always be one of the best priceless
memories for me. Big thanks to this very special place.
