DOUBLE TRANSIT PRINCIPLE OF JUPITER AND SATURN

Being ruled by the element ether, Jupiter is said to be the planet of expansion
and ideas. It represents the materialization of the Divine Grace. Being the
giver of sixteen types of wealth, when Jupiter blesses any house with its
aspect or association, it creates expansion and growth by creating new
opportunities for that house. Jupiter helps the native to fulfill his material
visions and his Divine mission. In the Rig Veda it is stated that Jupiter
provides protection and prosperity.
However, the ether element can be all encompassing without any practical
form or structure.
Saturn shows the cause of our birth on this planet. Saturn provides the native
with limitations for him or her to learn from and move beyond. The Karma
Karaka, it represents administration, limitation, structure and form. It
provides the framework of one’s Karma. Saturn also provides for the change.
Be it the change in one’s attitude, situation or values. These are the lesson
that one needs to work out to reach their goal.
Saturn can be very rigid in setting the framework.
As slow-moving planets, Saturn and Jupiter have a very strong influence on
the house they transit or aspect while transiting. However, this influence
increases manifold when they throw their combined influence together on a
house, either in the natal chart or in transit.
When Saturn and Jupiter together throw their influence on a house while in
transit, the house is highly activated as the seemingly unrealistic and never-
ending approach of the Jupiterian ideas meet the framework of
administration set by Saturn. This ignites the house as structure and form
become associated with wealth and ideas. This brings forth a new dynamism
for the concerned house and opens new avenues for Karma Payback. New
energies can be felt in the houses that they aspect together and it is the time
for new opportunities and new beginnings for those houses. Saturn provides
a firm ground for the ideas to take shape and Jupiter provides the necessary
amenities and resources for the infrastructure to grow and develop.
The phenomenon of Double Transit occurs nearly every year except for years
when Saturn and Jupiter are 2/12 or 8/6 to each other. However, the signs
that are affected change every year and so depending on the Ascendant, the
houses that are activated also change. Sometimes the double transit effect
may not last long due the change of sign of any one planet. Sometimes it may
leave a lasting impact as will in case of the current transit as both the planets
would be aspecting Aquarius and Gemini for quite sometime.
In this transit of Saturn (Saturn moving into Sagittarius) from 26th October
2017 and Jupiter into Libra from 12th September from 2017, we shall see the
houses activated by such a transit.
Aspects of Jupiter
Jupiter Aspect Sign
5th Aquarius
7th Aries
9th Gemini

Aspects of Saturn
Saturn Aspect Sign
3rd Aquarius
7th Gemini
10th Virgo

As the Signs of Aquarius and Gemini get activated by the Double Transit
Principle, these signs will show different results for people belonging to
different Ascendants. Given below is the result of the impact of this transit.
However, this is subject to change considering the Natal Chart.
EXAMPLES OF DOUBLE TRANSIT PRINCIPLE WITH THE
DIVISIONAL CHARTS

As such each house represents a large number of karakas so to define the

aspect of life which would be activated by the double transit principle can
get a little difficult just by looking at the Rasi chart.
The beauty of the double transit is that it is perfectly applicable in the
Divisional charts.
When will look into the subsequent divisional charts and see the houses that
are activated by this double transit principle we can pinpoint the area of life
that this double transit principal would activate and enhance.
Example- Amitabh Bachchan- Career
Analysis-In July 2000, Jupiter and Saturn were in Taurus. For Amitabh
Bachchan it was in the 4th House of the Rasi Chart and aspecting the 10th
House of Career. It was time for resurrection of his career.
In the D 10 Chart, this combination falls in his 9th House of luck and
prosperity aspecting the 3rd House of Unlocking the Karma.

Example- Barak Obama - Career

On 20th January 2009, Saturn was retrograde in Leo and Jupiter was in
Capricorn. The combined effect of transit Saturn and Jupiter falls on
Taurus. Taurus is the 5th house of power. Obama was elected president of
The United States and was sworn in power on 20th January 2009.
As per the D 10 chart of Barack Obama, the Lagna of the D 10 gets
activated due to this double transit principle effect. We can see major
effect in career due to this double transit effect.

Example- Sophia Loren

On the day Sophia Loren got married to Carlo Ponti, in September 1957,
Saturn was posited in Scorpio in the Lagna and Jupiter was transiting the
11th House in the sign of Virgo.
The signs Capricorn relating to the 3rd House of Bhagya of marriage, the 7th
House of marriage and partnership were activated by the “Double Transit
Principle” effect for Sophia Loren.
Subsequently, in the D 9 or the Navamsha Chart, 11th House of Spouse and
children and the 3rd House of Bhagya of marriage was activated.

Example- John F Kennedy- Children

Caroline Bouvier Kennedy is the first child of JFK and was born on
November 27, 1957. Transit Jupiter was placed in the sign of Virgo and
Transit Saturn was posited in Scorpio. The Double Transit Principle effect
can be felt in the signs of Capricorn and Taurus.
The Lagna of the D 1 and the D 7 for JFK is same in both the cases. It is
Virgo.
Capricorn is the 5th House of Children in JFK’s Chart and Taurus (9th
House) is the 5th to 5th, the secondary House of children.
