I have just graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and History
with an Endorsement in Teaching Students with Disabilities. I am eager to begin working in the
classroom. Learning that there are openings in your district excited me and my credentials serve
to justify that I would fit perfectly.
My education has prepared me for this position with a multitude of hours within
classrooms of all grade levels within a variety of elementary schools. Observing numerous
teachers gave me the opportunity to see a variety of teaching styles and practices that I have
learned from to be able to utilize in the classroom. I have been within a number of diverse
classroom settings, which provides me with experience working in environments where multiple
professionals collaborate to create the most effective environment that addresses student needs
for all types of learners. I have been within various special education settings with a wide range
of students, helping me to learn how to properly implement patience and kindness within a
classroom. I also have experienced a lot of behavior management strategies and how to safely
control students and manage a classroom.
Being a teacher is one of the most important careers there is, my personal goal and
philosophy as a teacher would be to create a positive environment where all learners are able to
succeed to the best of their abilities. I want to help students reach their full potential and develop
a love for learning that will last them throughout their lives. I believe that your district would be
the perfect place for my contributions and experience to bring something valuable to make a
difference. As my resume displays, I have a lot of experience working with children and in
schools, but accompanying that comes my love for children. I have always had the dream of
becoming a teacher, especially within Special Education, where I noticed areas that could be
improved upon throughout my personal experiences. Given the opportunity, I would incorporate
my passion for teaching into the classroom and create an environment that enhances learning.
