一、 FAQs About the Authentication

1、 Process of applying for and obtaining a certificate

1） Certificate application

According to the latest certificate issuance policy, only the HCIE

certificate needs to be applied for. Apply for a certificate after three

working days after receiving the interview report. The link is as follows:

Once the user type is selected, the user type cannot be modified.

The selection of the type does not affect the certificate application.

2） The certificate to be applied for is not displayed when you

apply for a certificate

a. Check whether the email has been applied for. If yes, visit My

Huawei-Training Certification-My Certificate to download the e-Cert.

b. Check whether the email address is your exam email address. If

not, associate the email address with the email address.

c. If you do not view the certificate to be applied for, ensure that all

exams use the same email address and the email address has been

associated with this account. Otherwise, the certificate cannot be

obtained.

If you have any questions, please send the exam result report or the

examinee number, exam email address, score registration number,

exam date, and exam subject to the certification for processing.

3） Obtain the certificate

You do not need to apply for the HCIA/HCIP certificate. Download

the certificate one day after the exam is complete.

Download the HCIE certificate. If you have applied for a certificate,

download the certificate three working days after the certificate is applied

for.

E-Cert: Since November 1, 2018, Huawei provides only e-Cert (except

HCIE certification). Candidates who pass Huawei certification (except

HCIE certification) can download the certificates one working day after

completing the relevant exams. After the HCIE certification examinee

completes the exam, the system generates an electronic certificate in

three working days. You can download the e-Cert on the My Huawei --

Training Certification -- My Certificate page.

Paper certificate: Pape certificate need 20 working days mail to

2、 The certificate cannot be viewed

(1) For examinees who take the exam in Pearson VUE after

November 1, 2018, Huawei ID is the unique ID of the examinee and will

be automatically associated with all exam and certificate records of the

examinee. You can directly view the exam and certificate records. You

do not need to associate the email address. To view your Huawei

certificate records, you need to associate your certificate information

with your Huawei certificate record before November 1, 2018. For

examinees who take the exam in Prometric, (note: For the HCIE written

exam, HCIE lab exam, and interview exam, the email address must be

the same. Otherwise, the candidate cannot apply for the certificate.)

(2) Ensure that all Huawei authentication records are associated

with the same Huawei account. Otherwise, the certificate cannot be

obtained.

(3) If you have not solved your problem, please provide the exam

result report or the examinee number, exam email address, score

registration number, exam date, and exam subject on the score report,

and send the information to the certification for processing.

3、 Other certificates

1） How do I modify the exam/certificate email address of an

examinee?

Provide the information about the bound email address, new email

address, and exam result report, including the examinee number, score

registration number, and exam subject, and send the information to the

certification for processing.

2） When you associate my certificate with my score, the

following message is displayed: The email address has

been associated with another XXX account.

Method 1: If you need to change the bound account, the following

message is displayed on the page: Indicates whether to unbind a new

account. If this parameter is set to No, the system will send an

activation email to your associated mailbox. After the activation

confirmation, you can bind the new account.

Method 2: If you remember the account to be unbound, log in to

the account to be unbound, Go to My Huawei-Training Certification-My

Exam-Trainee Mailbox Management, select the mailbox to be unbound,

click Unbind, and confirm the activation email.

After unbinding, you can associate mailboxes again. The procedure

is the same as that described in.

3） When you associate my certificate with my score, the

examinee forgets the Pearson VUE exam email or exam

email

If you forget the email that you used to make an exam on Pearson

VUE, use your score report and new email address three working days

after the exam to obtain your exam records, scores, and certificate

records.

(1) Log in to the system using the registered account or an existing

account. Go to My Huawei-Training Certification-My Examinations-

Associate Exam Records.

(2) After you click Submit, the system will send an activation email to

your new email address and click the activation email link to complete

the association.

If the system displays a message indicating that the activation email

is not received, you are advised to check whether the email is

intercepted or placed in a junk email. Alternatively, replace the browser

and try again.

If no activation email is found, provide your ID and password and

send it to certification for processing.

4） Number of accounts bound to an exam result associated

with an email address.

Only one account can be bound to an exam result association email

address.

5） Search for the email address associated with the

authentication certificate.

Please send the certificate number or the registration number in the

Pearson VUE exam result report to certification for processing.

4、 Certificate verification

Log in to the Huawei official website to verify the certificate.

二、 Huawei Certification Policy

1、 Advanced Relationship of Huawei Certification

The mandatory advance requirement between HCIA and HCIP has

been cancelled, so that the HCIA certificate is not mandatory before

obtaining the HCIP certificate. However, it is recommended that

examinees learn and get the certificate following the certification path.

2、 Reauthentication policy

1） Re-authentication method

Huawei’s Certification System includes three categories: ICT

Architecture Certification, Platform and Service Certification, and ICT

Vertical Certification. Before the certificate expires, you can use the

following three methods to update the validity period of the certificate:

● Participate and pass any exam of the current certification.

● Participate and pass any exam of the higher level certification which

from the same technical direction of the current certification.

● Participate and pass any exam of the same or higher level

certification which from the same technical domain of the current

certification.

2） Certificate Extension Rule

Engineer, Senior Engineer Level Certificate (HCIA/HCIP) Extension:

The certificate is re-authenticated within three years after the certificate

is valid. The validity period of the certificate is updated from the date

when the certificate is issued to three years.

Expert level certificate (HCIE) extension: If the certificate is re-

authenticated within two years after the certificate expires, the validity

period of the certificate is updated from the date when the certificate is

issued to two years. If re-authentication is passed within one year after

the buffer period expires, the certificate validity period is updated from

the expiration date of the original certificate to two years.

3、 HCIP–R&S(Fast Track) policy

To obtain the HCIP-R&S(Fast Track) certificate, you must have a

certificate of the same level or higher as the Cisco / Juniper /H3C and

pass the HCIP-R&S(Fast Track) test.

approves the application.
