This lesson will introduce students to traditional shapes from northwest coastal First
Peoples. Students will learn about these traditional shapes in hands on engaging ways,
creating art work and learning about First Peoples artwork. We have been learning
about what attributes of shapes are, how to categorize shapes and identifying shapes in
our environment.

Learning Intention:  I can identify traditional northwest coast First Peoples shapes in nature
