I chose Quezon Memorial Circle because it depicts various events in Philippine history

and its main purpose is to show off the memories of our former Philippine President Manuel L.

Quezon.

The Quezon Memorial Shrine was built-in with an amazing meaning, every structure has

its significant sense, the 66 meters elliptical lot stands for the age when he died from

tuberculosis. If you look at the top, you will see the pylons and above the pylons there are three

mourning female angels holding a wreath made up of sampaguita, the winged figure of angels

symbolized the Island of the Philippines which is the Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Moreover,

when you go inside the museum, you will see the Presidential memorabilia of Quezon and the

others are the treasures on the Philippine history.

Manuel Quezon didn’t cut ties with American people, and they thought that he is a person

that could easily manipulated, but Manuel L. Quezon wasn’t that kind of person, he just acted

like that, to maintain peace and order and this strategy helps him to established his platforms for

the Philippines. He dealt on American people in order to achieve Philippines official language

and this gave Filipino people their own identity, that is why he became the Father of National

Language. In addition, he contradicted the racist policies of United States and then created the

National Council of Education because of his hunger to improve the educational system in the

Philippines to set out as a consultative body on educational maters and also he initiated women’s

rights to avoid slavery, abuse and to attain equal rights.

Manuel Quezon deserves the Quezon Memorial Circle to reminisced his sacrifices for our

country and acknowledging his greatness for disseminating good platforms.
