MAJUMDER NUMBER

(1) DEFINITION
A number is said to be Majumder number when sum of
cubes of consecutive natural starting from 1 upto a
certain number is equal to the square of sum of all those
consecutive natural number.
For example :-
(1.1) 36
This is formed by sum of cubes of three
consecutive integer 1, 2 and 3 such as:-
13+23+33 = 36
Again
(1+2+3)2 = 62 = 36
Hence,
36 is a Majumder Number.
(1.2) 100
This is formed by sum of cubes of four
consecutive integers 1, 2, 3 and 4 such as:-
13+23+33+43 = 100
Again
(1+2+3+4)2 = 102 = 100
Hence,
100 is a Majumder Number.
(1.3) 3025
The above number is formed by sum of cubes of
Ten Consecutive integers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
and 10 such as:-
13+23+33+43+53+63+73+83+93+103 = 3025
Again,
(1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10)2 = 552 = 3025
Hence,
3025 is a Majumder Number.
Other examples of Majumder Number are 225, 441, 784, e.t.c.
(2) CONCLUSION
Majumder Number shows the properties of the numbers
which are hidden (not exposed) . It helps us to grow
interest in Mathematics among themselves.
