Since January 13, 2011, Amtrak Rail tickets are captured in the Sabre Ticket Database. Any Amtrak Rail ticket issued prior to this date
will not be present in the database.
• Amtrak uses the Sabre database which makes it possible to access the Refunds and Exchanges mask (WFR). However, you
must not use this application for a refund even though the coupon status may show RFND, because the refund is processed
incorrectly and therefore invalid."
• When you void an Amtrak Ticket, the status in the Sabre Ticket Database for that ticket is updated with the status VOID
Use these formats to claim a PNR booked directly with Amtrak or released to you from another agency. Be sure to know your Amtrak
record locator or passenger name, train information and travel dates.
At this point you choose either to issue later or to issue immediately as explained previously in topic number 7.
