Welcome Family & Friends
I have become a little older since I saw you last. But now, I am worth a fortune.
I’ve got silver in my hair, gold in my teeth, stones in my kidneys, lead in my feet,
and gas in my stomach.

There’re quite a few other changes in my life since we last talked. Frankly, I’ve
become a quite frivolous old person. I’m seeing five gentlemen everyday. As soon
as I wake up, Will Power helps me get out of bed. Then, I go to see John.
Afterwards, Charlie Horse comes along. And when he’s here, he takes up a lot of
my time and attention. When he leaves Arthur Ritis shows up and stays the rest
of the day. He doesn’t like to stay in one place very long. So, he takes me from
joint to joint. After such a busy day, I’m really tired and glad to get to bed with
Ben Gay. What a life!!

The preacher came to see me the other day. He said, “At your age, you should be
thinking about the here after.” I told him, “I do that all the time.” No matter
where I am, upstairs, in the kitchen or down in the basement, I ask myself, “What
am I here after?”

It’s good to see you again and It is truly a blessing and Gods given pleasure to
host our 11th bi-annual McFadden Family Reunion in Mystic, Connecticut. We
the Connecticut Family would like to thank you and your presence and
participation to make this Family Reunion a joyful and special occasion. May
God Bless and Heaven Smile upon each and every one of you.

 Gone But Not Forgotten

Don't shed a tear or begin to whimper,

through the wind, I am the endless whisper.

I lift the birds and push the waves,

fall to you in pouring rains.

I am forever with love and time,

close your eyes I'm not hard to find.
 Not enough hours in the day, we often say
we watch as the business of life allows time slip away.

Before we know days turn to months and months into years,

Time is mapped with laughter and cheers,
the long road sometimes landmarked with sadness and tears.

Elders pass and children grow,

has it been that long we ask, where does the time go?

Not every chance to gather is taken.

"We'll see them next time" we say and hope we're not mistaken.

A chance like now comes once in a lifetime it seems,

when the bright light of family is nurtured and beams,
there will be laughter and time to reminisce
we will all be proud this is a chance we did not miss.
