Introduction
Every operation in any industry has drastically improved in the present scenario because of the
increase in the growth and development of technology. All the operations in an organization
influence one or the other technology. The inclusion of digital technology can smoothly do the
management of the finance, human resources, and accounts of the organisation. The
organizations utilize different software and technologies that is being regularly developed that
enormously increases the efficiency of the operation to a thousand times as compared to an
organization, which do not use technological equipment (Pinto, 2015). The report will be
describing the different ways in which the technologies and software can be used to improve the
hospitality and food organizations like Road Stove Restaurant for serving the customers.

The Purpose of this assignment is to make readers understand the skills required for managing a
business project. Project management is a critical task requires, independent research and
investigation in order to meet the appropriate business aims and objectives. All the
characteristics and features of projects and its management are explained in the report. We will
study about the principals of project, scope statement of a project, identification of critical path.
We will learn about the factors to be considered while developing project budget. Methods
which are used to manage the risk by developing different risk strategy in the project life cycle
are described in the report. Control is essential to evaluate the performance in every field and
there are described various quality methods to evaluate the performance.

Road Stove is a Small food business. Popular in the area for the taste and quality. They had very
good numbers of customers in the years in business but Number of the customers are declining in
previous months because of the opening of some new restaurants in the town. Those restaurants
came up with new ideas in business with extensive investment in modern technologies e.g.
excellent website design, online ordering, tracking of orders, Mobile based application to
facilitate the customers.
LO 1: Establish project aims, objectives and timeframes

based on the chosen theme.

1: Definition of a project:

A project is nothing but the accumulation of a varied number of assignments that are related to
one another. Every aspect of the project is pre-planned, researched adequately for the properties
and then executed (Pinto, 2015). This project emphasizes the influence of different mobile
technologies and online order dealing software on people with disabilities and the people who
work as workers.

Problem statement:

The presence of technological equipment has a highly positive impact on the life of the
customers as well as the workers. Most of the nursing homes, hospice solutions and clinics have
the presence of software that immensely assists in treating people. However, in the present
scenario, it is commonly seen that the food companies can use excellent website design, online
ordering, tracking of orders, Mobile based application to facilitate the customers. But any type of
technological upgrading in the business can impact the organization in many ways. For instance
the workers cannot provide the right kind of assistance to the customers which leads to a large
number of faulty situations. The workers have to be skilled enough to provide services to
customers in a personalized manner (Kerzner, 2018). Training programs should be arranged by
the setups to give the staffs training on the different ways in which they can take the assistance of
the technologies and software and give the customers convenient and personalized services. Lack
of such programs is one of the key reasons behind the frivolous situation of the setups.

Strategy for the project:

The project can be successfully implemented by opting for the survey strategy. The survey can
be conducted among the different staffs of the organizations where they mobile technology and
online order placing services to the customers (Kerzner, 2018). The people who are involved in
conducting the surveys can gain the knowledge from the staffs and use this knowledge to make
the untrained staffs understand the requirements of the procedure.
Objectives of the project:

The following are the objectives of the project:

 To investigate the effectiveness of the mobile technologies and online order dealing
software for facilitating the customers in Road Stove Restaurant
 To investigate the influence of mobile technologies and online order dealing software on
the users
 To understand the areas which can be bettered to implement mobile technologies and
online order dealing software in the Road Stove Restaurant?
The project and its scope:

The scopes of the project are the analysis and documentation of the objectives of the project, the
tasks under the project, the requisites, expenses and the tenure of the project. The quick plan
mobile technologies and online order dealing software is predominantly developed for providing
services to the public as well as private resturants (Heagney, 2016). This software is also found
to be utilized by individuals who provide facility to people independently. The implementation
of the mobile technologies and online order dealing software requires people to have certain
skills, which are lacked, by the people who provide services to the customers.

Table 1: Time and cost required for the project

(Source: Self-developed)
Hence, it can be said that the scope of this project is mainly efficiently using the mobile
technologies and online order dealing software to help the workers to understand the process.
The time and the expenses that are found to be associated with this project are mentioned in the
table below:

Included scope:

The project included the following scope

 Project completion by week 5

 Project completion within £1000
Success criteria:

The success of this project is only possible if the different mobile technologies and online order
dealing software surveyed, and their utility is identified and implemented properly.

LO 2: Conduct small-scale research, information

gathering and data collection to generate knowledge to

support the project.

Research Philosophy

Research philosophy in research is known to give the best possible rules, used to lead research.
This logic when utilised can give time and cost compelling strategy for research. There are
different research philosophies like positivism, interpretive and realism that can be utilised to
direct this research project successfully (Saunderset al., 2015).

The research project would require the researcher to utilise the positivism sort of logic, as the
researcher will have the capacity to utilize this information to gather legitimate information,
which can prompt the immediate acknowledgement of the research objectives. Prior speculations
will likewise be investigated successfully which will prompt a viable type of research
conduction.
Research Methods

The research has actualised the utilisation of primary sources and questionnaires to guarantee
that the information is gathered to give the most efficacious comprehension of the observations
of the respondents (Tayloret al., 2015).

Research approach

This is a basic piece of the conduction of the research as it accommodates the researcher to
gather information through the conduction of an efficient data collection technique. Inductive
and deductive research approaches exist inside research, yet the main aim of the research project
is to empower a procedure of existing theories already being proposed by various researchers on
this research topic (Marshall et al., 2017). Furthermore, the research project also aims at looking
at investigating papers identified with a similar subject. The deductive technique likewise spares
a great deal of time.

Data Collection Method

Data is one of the mandatory components of the research project and fresh and adequate
information increase the chances of success. Not only that, data collection also helps to
understand the basic concept of the topic. Two types of data collection methods are used in a
research project. Primary data has been collected through two methods-quantitative data
collection and qualitative data collection. For the quantitative data collection methods, simple
random sampling combined with probability method is chosen to select the respondents. A lot of
respondents were approaches. However, only 100 respondents have turned up. The respondents
are given with closed ended questionnaires to give their feedback. For the qualitative part, non-
probability sapling is chosen to select the respondents for the interview (Palinkaset al.,
2015).This primary data is the fresh data and different variations can be achieved.

Ethical Consideration

The researcher is required to be in charge of the security and well-being of the respondents when
this research is to be conducted. Research rules are required to be legitimately taken after and
executed with the goal that respondents are secured when they are reacting to the same. The Data
Protection Act 1998 should likewise be followed in a powerful way to ensure rights of the
individuals (Ganet al., 2018).

Data sampling technique

Data sampling techniques can be comprised of two types as well. It includes probability or
random sampling and non-probability sampling (Etikanet al., 2016). For the present research,
probability sampling is to be conducted where the respondents will be selected using random
sampling method. 100 respondents should be selected, and two managers are required to be
selected for the interview that could help in getting adequate and qualitative information related
to the research topic.

company. The learner approached two managers of the Road Stove to collect their personal view
or reflection on the topic.

The main objective of conducting research in this project was to analyze the importance of
digital technology and how these technologies improve the performance of the organization. This
project helps in understanding about the changes that takes place within an organization on
incorporation of digital technologies in the Road Stove Restaurant. The project was successful as
the employees and the managers agreed to the incorporation of digital technology The initial
inception ware gathering knowledge in technological advancement; in this project I have
implemented the possible implementation techniques; Most of the goals have been achieve. The
problem that I faced during this project was difficulty in getting an appointment with the
managers of the company. Yes the problems were identified on time resolved. The undertaken
project helps in identifying the importance of digital technology in development of the Road
Stove Restaurant. I am fully satisfied with my performance. My behavior helped in
communicating with the authorities of the organization for completing this project. My
communication skills assisted me during the project. My decision making skills helped me in
completion of this project. This information will help me in developing knowledge about the
latest technologies that could assist me in developing a strong career in this field.
