Introduction

The goodwill interview went quite well and smoothly. I asked a total of eight questions to my
Interviewee and asked him to answer the questions as honestly and truly as possible. He must not
furbish the answers in order for them to look good in the society and the answers should be natural.

Below I have mentioned all the key metrics that needed to be tested, along with the questions that I
asked the interviewee. I have also mentioned my thought on the answer and ranked the interviewee
accordingly.

Key Metric 1: Communication Skills (Clarity and Comprehensible aspects to be measured not
language; ability to express a point of view)
Question asked: How do you feel about the recent hike in air pollution especially in India and what
did we do wrong?
Assessment: For this question, I awarded a total of 8 marks out of 10. The reason being that the
interviewee seemed to be well aware of the situation and instead or rumours, had genuine and detailed
information about the causes and prevention.

Key Metric 2: Self-Efficacy (has complete control in behaviour, motivated and has beliefs that are
tuned to Social environment)
Question asked: What are your views on the Babri masjid verdict which came out recently?
Assessment: The interviewee did not let emotions take over the logic and facts. He was sympathetic
to the community that lost the case and had kind of an optimistic view of the scenario. Thus I awarded
a total of 8 marks for this metric.

Key Metric 3: Leadership (Thinking Out-of-the box and ability to influence)

Question asked: What would you do if the employees under your supervision win a huge lottery and
then threaten to quit together?

Assessment: I awarded a total 9.5 marks to this question as the answer was creative as well as
unexpected. The interviewee was calm and showed no sign that he would be panicked if the time
comes. He also shared some really innovative ideas to tackle the situation.

Key metric 4: Receptivity to Change (open to new ideas and new age thinking)

Question asked: What effect do you think did demonetization bring in India?
Assessment: The marks given were 9 again as I found the person to be optimistic. He did mention the
pros and cons of the scheme but then concluded the answer saying that every new change has its pros
and cons but we need to accept change and adapt accordingly.

Key metric 5: Conscientiousness (very careful and diligent and has a desire to complete the task the
best possible way
Question asked: During the recent and unfortunate Delhi riots, if you were the chief minister of
Delhi, then how would you have handled this situation?

Assessment: The marks awarded for this question are 7. The interviewee did come up with a few
very good points on crowd control tactics but drifted slightly towards the political aspect instead of
the humanitarian aspect.

Key metric 6: Passion / Demeanor (overall feel of things;- attitudinal – positive approach)

Question asked: How do you feel about the CAA/ NRC bills going around in the parliament?
Assessment: The interviewee was quite positive and optimistic about the outcomes of these changes
and expressed his wish to see the betterment of India like vanishing of poverty with the help of these
bills. The marks awarded are 9.

Key metric 7: Social Maturity / Social Dynamics (willingness to develop the community and has
characteristic of sustainable and long term societal benefits in mind)
Question asked: If you were one of the first people to be transported to Mars to start a new human
colony, how would you go about that?
Assessment: I was very surprised by the answer here. Instead of thinking about the loneliness and
dangers of this excursion, the interviewee was very excited about this idea and said that he would love
to help the human community to create a backup plan if needed and they will have his maximum
contribution.

Key metric 8: Interpersonal Skills (can work well with others, has good listening and makes other
people comfortable)
Question asked: Who do you wish was with you if you were stuck on a deserted island for a long
time?
Assessment: the interviewee advised that he is very friendly with everyone and almost everyone who
knows his, like him. So it really doesn’t matter who it is. He will be comfortable with the person and
vice versa.
