SMVDU STUDENT INNOVATES COVID 19 SMART SANITIZER DISPENSER

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) Katra has once again showcased its
exemplary education system inculcating innovation in young minds of the University. This
time, a B.Tech. 2nd Year Student Mr. Ayush Yadav has come up with a very innovative
COVID-19 smart sanitizer Dispenser in what could be regarded as a ideal contribution of
budding engineer to the University and Society at large in these global testing times.

While displaying the device, Mr. Ayush along with his Mentor Dr. Rakesh Jha, Associate
Professor-School of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SMVDU briefed others
that it is a smart machine which gives you out sanitizer even without touching the machine ,
thereby tackling the main cause of covid –19 which spreads when we come in contact with
things which is being touched by someone else. The only thing is that you have to take your
hand near the sanitizer jaar and it will give the user a sufficient amount of sanitizer as desired
and recommended by health agencies currently.

It is worthwhile to mention that SMVDU faculty and students have been bringing laurels to
the university which also saw unprecedented 71st Rank scored by SMVDU world wide in
Times Higher education rankings recently. The credit of all these innovations and laurels
greatly rests with the Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. R K Sinha.

Vice-Chancellor of SMVDU appreciated Mr. Ayush and his faculty mentor for this
achievement and encouraged the budding Engineers for more innovations like this which
could be beneficial for society. Deans and other faculty members of the university also
expressed their best wishes to the Young student and the faculty mentor.
