How We See The World

Religion

- Reformation was one the first changes to be made

- The Reformation was a religious movement that took place in Europe during the
sixteenth century to reform the Roman Catholic Church
- Hearing about this change led to kings taking religious control and picking a religion for
which their kingdom would follow
- All Europeans were Roman Catholics until the Reformation

Now

- People can follow any religion they want too

- Still some places where people have no choice but to follow a certain religion
- Lots of people are atheists meaning they don’t believe in the existence of god
- Everyone has the right and freedom to follow any religion
- Most people are supportive to every religion, but there are still people who look down
upon certain religions
- I personally support all religions and believe that everyone should have a choice in what
religion they choose to believe in

Trade and Economics

- Population of Europe began to rise largely, due to the upgrades that had been made in
agricultural production
- Agricultural was the the foundation of the economy
- Industries depended on the materials from the land
- Towns and cities of Europe grew and the landscape was changing from a rural to an
urban one
- Increase in trade causing overseas explorations
- Trade began to go to different parts of the world, in the sixteenth and seventeenth
centuries Europeans built settlements in other parts of the world, especially in America
- The growth of trade and industry resulted in the growth of the middle class, the middle
class had many more opportunities to expand with the increase in trade

Now

- International trade ​create jobs and boosts economic growth

 - The International trade is the exchange of capital, goods, and services across borders or
territories
- Today, it’s possible to make trades from your living room, without having to employ other
services, the internet has been proved as a valuable resource to connect with investors
- Economic sectors are very different
- Iron, coal, and steel were a much larger part of the market before, today, banking,
- pharmaceuticals, and information technology are the largest sectors
- I think the declines in trades will have a huge consequences for households and businesses
because of the loss of money
- I personally think that lots of businesses will have a hard time getting back on track after
COVID19 because of the amount of losses faced

Science

- Most people relied on the religious teachings of church regarding anything

- People rarely went against the church's teaching of earth and life itself
- Advances in science were made during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries
- Changed the way that people viewed the world around them
- 1534 was the year the Copernicus (a scientist) stated that earth revolves around the sun
but he wasn't able to prove it
- In 1632 Galileo (a scientist) proved Copernicus’s theory
- The scientific method was created
- Issac Newton started to research about the Law of gravity

Now

- People rely on science all the time

- Helps us solve solutions in our everyday life and helps us answer many mysteries
- It is now one of the most important channels of knowledge
- Governments make decisions based on scientific information such as health and agriculture
- Parliaments legislate on societal issues which necessitate the latest scientific knowledge
- National governments need to understand the science behind major global challenges such
as climate change, ocean health, biodiversity loss and freshwater security
- I think science will still be important no matter what happens because it is something we use
everyday whether we realize it or not

Technology and Innovation

- The invention of new technologies was very beneficial
- Galileo used the telescope to support the theories of Copernicus
- Doctors used microscopes to learn more about the human body
 - Not all new technology was devoted to scientific purposes, most of it was used for
everyday activities such as trades and farming
- At first people were not used to the idea of changing certain things to replace them with
newer things but after a while people started to become okay with it
- Scientific knowledge and technological skills joined eventually lead to the Industrial
Revolution

Now

- Technology has a ​very important role in how we live in the world today and how we
communicate
- People use technology for everything like communicating with people and online
businesses
- As technology advances we have to continue to come up with new innovations
A​s a result of technological advances, businesses are increasing and spreading across
countries, It is innovation that gives us the ability to spread their organizations
- I think technology will always be important and will only become more important in the
future
