There are certain ethical violations on the part of teachers or instructors with the students, as
follows;
1. Teachers must treat all students with equality and respect, if there is violation of such
behavior, a student might feel less worthy then other students.
Ignoring one student’s questions and answering the other’s.
2. Prejudice or partiality
No favorable biasness
3. Taking bribes by a student or parents is also considered as an ethical violation.
Taking money, gifts or treats for giving higher grades to a student.
This might lead to less self-respect between the teacher and student, and more
acceptances towards personal gain and less rationalization.
4. Sexual exploitation by a teacher
Initiating sexual behavior with a student in return of higher grades.
5. Less interaction with students
Only teaching, no self-expression towards students
6. Showing less empathy towards few students
If a student is going through a tough time, the teacher should understand and be a
helping hand in such situation, instead of showing apathy.
7. Discarding student’s opinions
Putting extra pressure on students, trying to complete the syllabus, for going on a
break or vacation.
8. Disturbance by teaching
Using cell phone or bringing a child in classroom.
9. Teaching without having knowledge of the subject
Pretending to be prepared for giving a lecture but are not.
10. Failing to establish relevance while teaching
Creativity in teaching and not discussing random topics.
11. Calling on volunteers for answering questions
If the teacher doesn’t know an answer to a question, he/she makes another student
answer it for them
12. Setting extreme expectations by students
Less teaching and expecting good result
13. Abusive towards students
It can be of two sorts; physical and mental
14. Wasting time
Arriving late in class
15. Mismanagement
Un-prepared for taking a class and just winging it
