Option # 1

Group report on HRM practices of any Organization:

Select an organization which has been operating for at least 3 years in Bangladesh. Make sure they have
a structured HR system. You need to collect detail information on different functions of HRM (HR
planning, Recruitment and Selection, Training and Development, Performance appraisal, Compensation
and benefit management) of that organization over phone. After explaining your findings assess how
human resource management functions help your chosen organization in achieving its purpose.

Requirements:

 The paper should be minimum of 10-15 typed pages, using one and a half spaced, 12 point
Times New Roman font.  Diagrams and charts are encouraged but will not be counted towards
the page count of the paper.
 There will be 5 team members in each group. Each student should work independently to
contribute to the final project.  
 Report Deadline: 20th April, 2020.

Report Outline
Title Page: This page will contain the title of the report, the name of the student and the supervisor and
submission date.

Letter of Transmittal: Here the student will formally write a letter claiming the originality of the report
to the supervisor.

Table of Contents: Different parts of the reports will be presented here along with the associated page
number.
Executive Summary (or Abstract): Here a brief summary of the report is to be provided covering a very
brief introduction to the topic in hand, objectives of the study & methodology of the study, key findings
and important recommendations.

Chapters of report:

1. Introduction: The introductory part of the report is intended to introduce the topic in hand.

2. Objectives of the Study: Objectives of the study are twofold:

a. Primary (or Academic) Objective

b. Secondary (or Study) Objectives: Specific objectives pursued in the report are to be
articulated here.

3. Methodology of the Study: The following issues are to be addressed in the methodology part of
the report:

a. Type of Data: Primary Vs secondary data

b. Data Collection Process

c. Sample Size

d. Sampling technique or procedure

e. Scope:

i. Area

ii. Time

4. Findings of the Study: Findings along with the interpretation and required clarification are
expected to be presented here fulfilling the study objectives.

5. Conclusion and Recommendations

6. Appendix:

a. References

b. Questionnaire (if survey is conducted to collect primary data)

c. Other Documents (if necessary)
