value from drinking a high-sugar beverage. Nutritionists say bubble tea is the worst drink
ever because it contains high amount of sugar content with the addition of any hidden
ingredients such as sugar, sweeteners and artificial flavourings. When you hear ‘brown
sugar’ and ‘freshmilk’ you probably think that these are healthier ingredients, but you must
ask yourself, how much brown sugar is used? And what about the other ingredients,
especially the boba? If you request for the less sugar or no sugar, you still cannot categorise

Boba or the tiny, chewy black balls at the bottom of the drink is made from tapioca, which is
a gluten-free starch extracted from the root of a cassava plant. Nonetheless, the tapioca
balls are hard for elderly people to digest and can cause indigestion.
Next, boba drinks can causes diabetes and also lead to kidney cancer. It will not directly
cause diabetes if you consume once. But we will see the effects in a long term. This may
cause diabetes because research shown that a cup of bubble tea with regular sweetness
contains 34g of sugar. The amount of sugar that we should consume per days is 50g. But
after drinking a cup of bubble tea, we will exceed the amount of sugar that we should take
daily. Bubble teas are also not suitable for the elderly, especially those with a background of
chronic diseases. Besides, when you age, your metabolism slows down. Sugar slows down
your metabolism even more, making you feel tired and sluggish. It can also lead to kidney
cancer. Based on the Daily News reports, the bubble may also include cancer-causing
chemicals known aspolychlorinated biphenyls or PCBs. This is actually happened in China
when 8 years old girl had discovered that her liver and kidneys were severely damaged. In
fact, it was so bad that she was diagnosed with kidney cancer. The father’s habit of bringing
back dessert and bubble tea for the girl, which was likely the cause of the girl’s illness.
Apart from the negative impact bubble tea has on overall health, it has damaging effects
on the skin as well. Not everyone know that drinking too much bubble tea may cause acne
breakouts. Bubble tea or Boba Milk tea is more than a chemical cocktail full of empty
calories. It comprises of ingredients like sugar, tapioca and dairy that are associated with
causing acne. Cow’s milk can result in inflammation. Your skin may not be lactose intolerant
and hormones in milk can react with the testosterone in your body. This increases the
