Time of Day:

1. What steps did you go through to create this lesson? With whom did you talk, discuss, or edit your lesson?
To create this lesson, I had to remember that this class is an inclusion class with different students at different
learning levels. Always in my mind I had to remember to make the lesson interactive and keep their attention,
but also make the lesson easy for all to understand.

2. How did the SOLs and Objectives help focus your instruction?
The SOLs and Objectives helped me focus my lesson around certain points that would help the students pass the
SOL.

3. What parts of the instructional plan worked as you anticipated?

The activities target a lot of different learning techniques which I think will help all the students in the class
because they get to experience all of them like games, videos and analyzing.

4. What, if any, adjustments needed to be made once you began?

I forgot when I first did the Introduction that this was a virtual thing, my brain stopped working when I thought
of ideas for it. After realizing it wasn’t correct, I made it a virtual introduction which definitely needed to be
done so students can better understand the lesson and not be confused.

5. How well did you anticipate the materials needed?

I would say very well because all students have access to the links and to schoology.

6. How effective was the assessment you chose to use? (If no assessment was used, what will the future
assessment be and how will you gauge its effectiveness?)
The assessment I chose will allow myself as well as the teacher to see where the student’s weaknesses are as
well as what needs to be gone over again in order for students to pass their SOLs

7. To what degree do you feel that this lesson was a success? What evidence do you have for the success of the
lesson? (Hint: Student learning is the key to a lesson’s success!)
The lesson offers a variety of different learning techniques which allows students of different learning styles to
succeed and learn from my lesson.

8. How did the time spent preparing for your lesson contribute to it’s success?
I used a lot of different sources and spent a lot of time thinking if my resources would help the student learn or
not. I also spent a lot of time going through different websites to see what is the best way to engage students
through virtual learning techniques and tried to incorporate those techniques into my lesson.

9. If you could do this lesson again with the same students, would you do anything differently? If so, what?
I would not change anything, I am very confident that my lesson plan will help the students in the classroom
learn and exceed in this unit.

10. Any last comments/reflections about your lesson?
I think that it is cool that we get to have this experience with the pandemic going on because this gets us
familiar with future of teaching and prepares us for this event if it were to happen in the future. Although it
would have been fun to be able to actually teach in the classroom.
