ACTIVITY DESIGN
I. Brief
II. Rationale
One of the Development Goals of Padada as embodied in its 10-year development plan is to
develop the Padada Crocodile into a Tourism Destination Area. The hill when fully developed would
become one of the major economic enterprises of Padada and a tourism spot in Davao del Sur. This
would also trigger the development of other economic activities that would ensure good sources of
income of the residents of the barangay living nearby, the LGU as well and to the provincial government
in general.
In the furtherance of this development goal, the LGU will conduct a tourism project launching
activity to show to the people and stakeholders that the development at the top of the hill had started. In
connection to this, the LGU will invite private partners and government officials as well as the
community living around the Crocodile Hill to make the event official and successful. Another
undertaking during this activity is to have a pictorial and recording of the scenic view that can be seen at
sunrise, sunset, night or twilight time. Thus this activity design.
III. Objective
The main objective of this activity is to make an official pronouncement to all constituents and
stakeholders that a tourism development project at the Padada Crocodile will commence this year.
A one (1) day tourism project launching program will be successfully conducted. Information
and site development perspective will be shown and explained to the participants during the program
activity.
V. Manner of Implementation
The activity will be spearheaded by the Local Chief Executive. A cash advance is required for this
undertaking to give ease in the preparation of food stuff, documentation and site preparation.
The budgetary requirement of this activity is the provision of meals and snacks and site
preparation in the amount of Twenty Thousand Pesos (P20,000.00) which will be source out from the
General Fund under Non-Office Program in the Office of the Mayor.
