II. PROJECT RATIONALE AND OBJECTIVES

One of the vulnerable groups that need to be supported in their everyday struggle
for living is the Jambolero Livelihood Association (JLA) of Padada. Most of the
members of this association have no working capital on their own because they were
financed by some businessmen and sometimes they resorted to any form of lending
like “five-six”. They could hardly earn money for their basic needs and often times
cannot payback their lending obligations.

It is the desire of the LGU to help this association obtain starting capital thru this
Grassroot Participatory Budget to sustain their livelihood and move them out of
poverty. Wherein their only obligation is to strive hard to earn and increase their
income in order to provide the basic needs of their own family.

Hence, this proposal is being presented for financial assistance to pursue accelerated
income and economic growth to JLA members.

III. PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

As a whole the project aims to help the members of the Jambolero Association of
Padada augment their income thru the final assistance from the ASAP Program.

Specifically it aims to:

1. provide raw materials and start-up capital

2. help them become productive and moving them out of poverty
IV. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This program is the provision of raw materials start-up capital.
