PROJECT PROPOSAL
I. PROJECT TITLE: SA-GOAT SA KAHIRAPAN (native)
II. PROPONENT: OUT OF SCHOOL YOUTH (OSY) III. PROPONENT LOCATION: BAYBAYOG, ALCALA, CAGAYAN IV. FUNDING REQUIREMENT: GOAT DISPERSAL UNDER LIVELIHOOD PROGRAM FROM SK FUND- ₱20,000.00
V. RATIONALE:
Barangay Baybayog is identified as one of the most indigent barangay
located at the western part 8 Km. away from Centro, Alcala of which farming is the main source of income tilling small portions of non-irrigated Riceland and corn land. In this barangay lived the proponent who is actively participating with various activities in the community and other programs of the government with the total number of 40 members and all of them are out of school youth. Despite of the existence of agricultural resources in the barangay, nobody of the youth tried to make livelihood business project due to lack of capital funds and training. The project will be feasible considering its access on raw materials, active members of the organization and the support of the concerned government agencies. The concept of the SA-GOAT SA KAHIRAPAN PROGRAM will provide the youth opportunities to learn by doing through individual and group activities and enable them to use their time, talents and energies wisely which will eventually lessen problems on crimes initiated by the youth. VI. OBJECTIVES Generally, the project aims to; To enhance productivity and self-reliance of the rural youth through profitable generating project. Specifically: 1. To provide skills development training on Goat production and management. 2. To provide free loan assistance to 40 members of the organization. 3. To provide self-employment opportunities to prepare them for greater responsibilities in the future. VII. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The SA-GOAT SA KAHIRAPAN Program will be situated strategically along Maharlika Highway of Baybayog, Alcala, Cagayan accessible to all types of land transportation vehicles to ease the management and supervision of the project. It is a project for the unemployed out of school youth in form of goat dispersal a which is extended to unemployed youth in the community . The Out of School Youth Organization will be responsible in the operation and maintenance of the project, supervised/monitored by the SK Officials of Baybayog and Municipal Agriculture Office for proper direction towards sustainable project. VIII. METHODOLOGY: 1. The SK Officials of Baybayog and Agricultural Technologist should coordinate to the sponsoring agency (DOLE RFU 02) the conduct of training of out of school youth members and beneficiaries of the project. 2. The interested members shall undergo skills training to be expert in the operation and management before the start of the activities. 3. All members involved in the project shall be responsible in the marketing of the product within and outside the municipality. 4. Monitoring and submission of reports: Monitoring of the project shall be done regularly by the SK Officials and to be assisted by the Municipal Agriculture Office. 5. Reports shall be prepared and submitted to Municipal Agriculture Office through the SK Officials to be informed on the status of the project. 6. Continuous supervision and monitoring shall be done by the SK Officials and Municipal Agriculture Office to maintain proper operation and management of the project. IX. BUDGETARY REQUIREMENT:
