A. Title of the Project GARDEN (Growing vegetables to Alleviate,


Project Reduce, Demolish and Eradicate Non-stoppable poverty)
B. Area of Project This project shall be implemented in the selected sitios

F. Rationale/Basis Kayapa Proper West is one of the barangays of the
of the Project municipality of Kayapa. It is blessed with fertile soil and
favorable climate ideal for growing crops and vegetables.
Majority of its inhabitants belong to poor families with
farming as the main source of income. It is in this light
that the MCCT grantees proposed to have this kind of
project which will somehow help the families to have a
sustainable source of income and a continuous supply
of food specially during this time of pandemic. Their
products or yields shall be sold in the market to buy
other necessities and the rest for family consumption.
G. Objectives At the end of the target timeframe of the project, the
following objectives will be achieved:
a. To improve the quality of living among the families
of each beneficiary.
b. To enhance the skills and knowledge of the
beneficiaries on vegetable production.
c. To demonstrate an ideal vegetable garden to serve
as model to the community.
H. Project The proposed project mainly focuses on the
Procedures and production of vegetable through gardening. The project
Implementation will be implemented in the different sitios of Barangay
Kayapa Proper West where selected MCCT Beneficiaries
are the target group to avail the project. This group has
the experience, capacity and commitment to implement
successfully the proposed project.
The implementation of the project shall include the
following activities with estimated number of days:
*Seedling and Transplant - 15-20 days
*Soil Preparation - 10-15 days
*Maintenance - 60-70 days
*Harvesting - 10-15 days

The target number of days for each activity are not


permanent but rather it depends on the type of crop and
the area of the site.
I. Project This project shall be maintained and managed by
Management the 11 selected MCCT grantees of Kayapa Proper West
Scheme and shall be monitored by the DSWD personnel assigned
for this program.
Meanwhile, the leader of the group shall have a
weekly monitoring to the different sites to ensure the
successful implementation of the project.
J. Budgetary Each of the 11 grantees shall be receiving a budget
Requirements of Php15,000.00 from DSWD with a total of
Php165,000.00.

K. Project The proceeds from this project shall not be for
