This assignment is designed to give you experience in designing an airliner wing in cruise.

You have a unique set of cruise design parameters. These are available in Moodle. Please
download the file and look for your individual parameters.

Using your unique design specifications, design a wing for an airliner in cruise.

Calculate or specify:

1. Wing loading

2. Lift coefficient in cruise

3. Wing Section properties

a. Airfoil type
b. Sweep angle
c. Thickness specification

4. Wing planform shape – dimensioned sketch showing design data:

a. Reference area
b. Aspect ratio
c. Chord information
d. Span
e. Sweep Angle
f. Cruise lift coefficient

5. Wing lift slope and angle of attack at zero lift condition
