Entrepreneurship Awareness
Assignment:

1. Identify a business or industry that you feel passionate about. Attempt to identify
something in which you are likely to consider starting a business if, in fact, that is your
goal.

2. Find at least three trade journals, periodicals, and/or magazines devoted to that field.
From articles in these periodicals, what attributes and variables seem relevant for success
in the respective business or industry? Why is this likely?

3. Visit online at least two businesses in the industry you chose.

a. Compare them with respect to the business model in lesson one in the Study
Guide. Describe the attributes of each business in terms of the business model.

b. Which business do you believe has a greater chance on continued success?

Explain your answer and justify your opinion. For the business you believe is
likely to be more successful, consider the typical entrepreneurial myths. (Chapter
2) Which myths can you debunk and why? Are any of the myths true for this
business? Explain.

Do cite information and research sources appropriately.
