DEPARTMENT: EPE
SIMULATION OF ONE-WAY SWITCH USING SCHEMAPLIC
SOFTWARE.
This process involves using the schemaplic software to show simulation of how
a basic one-way switch works.
PROCEDURE:
Fig 1.

Figure 1 above displays the diagram of a basic one-way switch when the switch
is open.
The switch S1 is off and can be seen on the diagram causing an open circuit and
hence no current flow, making the lamp H1 to stay off. As can be seen on the
chronogram of the simulator, signal leaves the on state and drops when the
switch is open.

When S1 is closed, the diagram changes and can be seen below. Fig 2
In fig 2 when S1 is closed, the circuit turns on as there is flow of current and as a
result causes the lamp H1 to shine as is on the diagram above. Signal on the
chronogram show signal moving from a lower to higher state caused by flow of
current in the circuit when the switch is closed.
CONCLUSION
The above simulation shows how a one way switch can be controlled from the
switch and the lamp is there to show when there is flow or no flow of current in
the circuit.
