SUBJECT: Landing Gear - Main Brake Assemblies

INTRODUCTION OF OPTIONAL LUBRICATION FITTING

1. Effectivity

All Goodrich main brake assemblies that are installed on all civil aircraft.

2. Reference

Applicable Goodrich brake Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM’s).

3. Purpose

This Service Letter tells operators that the lubrication fitting, P/N MS15001-1, is replaced
by the lubrication fitting, P/N AS15001-1P.

4. Reason

The specification for the lubrication fitting, P/N MS15001-1, is cancelled. The equivalent
replacement lubrication fitting is P/N AS15001-1P.

Operators may continue to use the lubrication fitting, P/N MS15001-1. The two part
numbers are interchangeable.

5. Procedure

A. Refer to the applicable CMM for the lubrication fitting maintenance instructions. If you
must install a new lubrication fitting, install P/N MS15001-1 or AS15001-1P.

B. P/N AS15001-1P lubrication fittings are now available.
