RE BUS 1010 Term Research Proposal—Chief Operating Officer

Career- dermatologist/ skincare entrepreneur

I want to be a licensed dermatologist and make skincare products to help fight acne and clear

skin.

My interest

I have been obsessed with skincare since I was 12 years old. I used to watch Youtube videos and

research products when I was younger. I can guess the price of a product correctly off the top of

my head and skincare overall brings me a lot of joy. My friends always ask me for advice and

always ask me to treat their faces and out masks on them, etc.

Advantages

Advantages to this job would be the money and the amazing skin you would have. There is also

a lot of room to grow in the skincare industry and you can be really creative as well. Companies

are coming up with new products for skin all the time and there is a lot of competition to push

you and make you strive to make the best products.

Potential Limitations

Some potential limitations of this career choice would be marketing and competing with bigger

brands. A lot of people are pretty loyal to certain brands that work for them and they are weary

of other brands especially if they don’t know the brand or how the products work. Patents and

licensing would also be a big limitation since it can be hard to get certain ingredients and tools

from other places.
