What can parents do?

Performance:
 Encourage 15 mins practise time each day

Composition:
 Encourage your daughter to plan/refine their compositions in their own time.

Listening:
 Get the CGP revision guide – It has dicatation exercises in.
 Make sure they are listening to the set works regularly and following their
annotated score.
 Ask them to complete the laminated grid – check this is correct using the
colourful help sheet.
 Ask them to write a paragraph/explain how the composer uses an element
off the grid. They should explain a fact about the element , give an example of a
bar number it is used and explain how it links to the style of the piece.
For each of the set works see your A4 coloured sheet for the information you need to know.
