Program Description
This program introduces the fundamentals of language learning (listening, speaking, reading, writing, and culture) with
emphasis on language production, grammar, syntax, vocabulary acquisition, and exposure to the culture. This program
provides study in more than one language.
Program Outcomes
Students who complete an Associate Degree will be able to:
1. Read, write, speak, listen, and engage with the target culture in more than one language, at the novice-mid to advanced
proficiency levels (depending on course level), as prescribed by the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines and the ILR Culture
Proficiency Guidelines. (Minimum of 20 units)
