Grace
What is Grace? Most people define it as
“unmerited favour” – but it’s even more than
that. Not only is grace unearned and undeserved,
it doesn’t depend on anything we do or don’t
do. God’s grace towards us is unconditional and
is the same towards everyone – whether we are
the greatest sinner or the greatest saint. The
bottom line is that God loves every one of us
and has made his provision available in every
situation. Below, you will find more about what
God has provided for us in his amazing grace.
We can have everything we need by getting to
know God and his son Jesus, and the promises he
has made to us. ... by His divine power [he] has
granted to us everything pertaining to life and
godliness, through the true knowledge of Him
who called us by His own glory and excellence.
For by these He has granted to us His precious
and magnificent promises ... 2 Peter 1:3-4 (NASV)
Some of the main things included in what God
has provided, are : – an intimate relationship
with God the Father; forgiveness of sin; healing;
prosperity; deliverance and righteousness.
That’s only the start. As we study the Word of
God, we find more and more promises of God
from which we can benefit.
God has made salvation available to all men
whoever they are and whatever situation
they are in. For the grace of God that bringeth
salvation hath appeared to all men. Titus 2:11
Everything God’s grace has provided is
accessed by faith. ... we have access by faith

Because we are under grace we are no longer
under law. Paul says this quite categorically
in Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion
over you: for ye are not under the law, but
under grace. – so we need not strive to keep
the ten commandments to try to please God.
Nevertheless, grace does not give us a licence
to sin. If we do, satan has an inroad into our
life – and the results are deadly.
The grace God provides works in different
ways in different circumstances. Sometimes
God delivers us from our problems eg. sin;
sickness; poverty and ill health, but in other
cases he gives us the strength to endure – eg. in
everyday situations or when we are persecuted
for Christ’s sake.
Benefit all you can from what God has provided
and don’t waste it. Grace may be free to you –
but it cost God his Son.
