Presidents' meeting in Limburg - survey to plan alternatives

Dear presidents,
for the end of August we had planned to meet in Limburg (Germany) for our annual meeting of Pueri
Cantores.
The current situation with the pandemic does not allow to fix this meeting. Anyway, the circumstances
and conditions would be very complicated. We have to look for other possibilities to exchange our
news and opinions.
So, in the bureau, we discussed some alternatives. Please read carefully our proposals, and inform us
what you would prefer.

We are aware that a meeting by electronic means does not substitute a physical meeting. But we have
to discuss some points that are important for the preparation of our future, f.i. we could propose and
discuss some modifications of our regulations to be decided next year.
As this meeting will not be a General Assembly with decisive competences (this will be the case next
year, in 2021), we are free to discuss things without the pression of finding a definitive result within a
short time. We think that we shall need about 3 hours of discussion. If we can finish before, it is ok too.

We wait for your reply until the weekend after Ascension Day (24th May 2020). Then we shall decide
how to proceed. Please refer in your reply to the numbering given below.

Our proposals

1 We maintain the date of 29/30 August 2020, but

we meet by electronic means in a video conference (probably by Zoom)
We see that it may be diffcult to find a time that allows everybody to participate in full length: there is a
spread of 14 hours between Seoul and Chicago....
1.1 How about Saturday, 29th August in the afternoon (European time)? For India, this is in the
evening, for America it is in the morning.
1.2 Do you have other proposals? (a longer meeting, several shorter meetings, ...)

2 We change the date

2.1. The bureau planned a meeting in Rome (preparation of the Congress in Rome) in October
2020. If possible, we could meet (physically) in Rome from
Friday, 30 October until Sunday, 1st November 2020
with a schedule similar to our last meetings.
2.2 After Christmas, our choirs will have the break after a busy period. So we could meet in the
week after Christmas, f.i. Monday 28th December to Wednesday 30th December. The venue
and the exact dates would have to be designed.
2.3 Do you have other proposals? (Other dates, perhaps in January?)

3 Combining 1 and 2:
3.1 We meet only in a very short video meeting at the end of August (about 1 hour) and discuss
more intensively in October or December in a physical meeting.
3.2 Do you have other proposals?

Please let us know your preferences within a week, until Sunday, 24th of May, 2020, by replying to my
address cantoribus@epost.ch. I shall put together your wishes in a table that will show the best
procedure.
