Kids Kreations - Art Keepsake Fundraiser

There’s still time to have your child’s artwork printed on a variety of exclusive keepsakes from Kids Kreations,
shipped directly to your home. This year’s fundraiser will benefit the fifth grade class gift fund. Look for the email from
your classroom teacher with your child’s custom art ID and instructions for ordering. You can also order custom items
created from photos or artwork you upload to the Kids Kreations website; click here to learn how. Thank you to Ms. Lee
for help curating your child’s art pieces for this program! If you have questions about obtaining your child’s art code or
ordering, please email us at indiantrailpto@gmail.com.

Year End Teacher Gifts - Room Parents (Staff Will Not See This Announcement)
As the end of the school year approaches, Room Parents will be using the remaining funds collected from families earlier
this year to purchase classroom teacher gifts. Look for an email from them describing the gift being sent on behalf of the
whole class. Our PTO will send gift cards to all specials teachers. If you’d like to do an individual gift to a teacher or staff
member, e-gift cards can be sent to teacher’s email addresses or you might consider giving a High Five donation via the
112 Foundation (information below).

High Five A Teacher Program - From the 112 Education Foundation

Looking for a meaningful end-of-year gift for your child’s teacher? Send a virtual High 5 through the 112 Education
Foundation’s High 5 A Teacher program! Gifting is simple. Make a tax-deductible donation to the 112 Education
Foundation in the teacher’s honor, and we will send a High 5 letting the teacher know of your generosity. Donations to
the 112 Education Foundation help to fulfill our mission of enriching and enhancing educational opportunities for all
children in North Shore School District 112. To donate online, click here.

Shhh! It’s a Secret! Mrs. Jensen’s Retirement Surprise

This message is also only coming to the parents. For those of you that don’t know, Michele Jensen is retiring this
spring after 34 years in D112! Michelle Winterstein, an Indian Trail parent and former kindergarten student of Mrs.
Jensen, and Ms. Duckman have graciously volunteered to create a scrapbook to honor her. Please see their
attached letter HERE if you are interested in helping, or know some former students and colleagues that may want
to get involved!
Indian Trail School Supply Kits for 2020-21

There are a couple more weeks to order school supply kits from Deerfield Coalition. We recognize that this is an odd and
uncertain situation, but want to to note that orders will only be accepted until June 9th. We will not be selling extra kits
at school in the fall, so if you are interested in purchasing supplies this way, please do so soon. Assignment notebooks
for grades 3-5 may be purchased separately from the kits on the ordering website. We do not plan to sell assignment
notebooks in the school office in the fall.

We will keep you posted if and when any changes occur in the way that kits will be distributed, but for now we are
counting on the usual delivery method straight to your child’s classroom.

Please note, if you have an Edgewood or HPHS student school supply sales are also through Deerfield Coalition.

Fifth Grade Slideshow from Mrs. Luthardt

Dear 5th grade - We have created a lot of beautiful music together over the years. From singing, dancing to playing
instruments such as drums, boomwackers, xylophones, recorders, ukuleles, guitars, etc. This was your year to shine and
show everyone how much you have learned and grown musically...

Unfortunately, we are not able to put on our 5th grade performance. Instead, I dug deep into 5 years’ worth of photos I
had taken of you making music together. I have known many of you since 1st grade. Some of you I met last year. A few
of you I met over the past 5 months. You are all special to me. I’m so proud of all your hard work, creativity, and musical
growth you accomplished in my class. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.

Live your life with arms wide open.

Today is where your book begins.
The rest is still unwritten…

Love and miss you,

Mrs. Luthardt
