For ELK-14 installations having ABB LCC which standalone in the GIS room and using
ABB standard secondary cable, those control cables lead-ing from the drives to the LCC
and for CT, VT and Density Moni-tors are supplied on drums and have to be cut and
wired to devices and terminals at site.

purchaser, carriage paid, to the place of dispatch.
(-) Galvanised steel frames necessary to support the ELK-Type GIS equipment on a
concrete floor or concrete foundations.
(-) Removable Ladders.
(-) Platforms are not included.
(-) Catwalks are not included.

1.4 Spare Parts & Special Tools
The scope of supply please refer to the commercial offer.
It is assumed that the special tools and appliances if purchased by the purchaser can be used during
installation.
1.5 Services
1.5.1 Supervision of Installation, Testing and Commissioning
[ 1 ] Technical advising of installation and commissioning includes:
( 1 ) Technical Advisor for Installation and testing for a period of 17 weeks
- including travelling and accommodation costs
- including special Tools and Devices (refer to Annex_3)
( 1 ) Commissioning Engineer for a period of 02 weeks
- including travelling and accommodation costs
- including special Tools and Devices (refer to Annex_3)
The indicated period is based on 5 working days a week and 8 hours a day. The time period stated is only
applicable in case the work can be carried out in a continuous and most efficient manner.
If scope of supply includes cable connections or direct transformer bushing housings the installation of those
is included during the main GIS installation period. Opening and closing of links for High-Voltage test
purpose during installation period of GIS is also included. Opening of the cable connections for HV-test until
one month after installation of the last GIS station is included. ABB reserves the right to charge additional
expenses for work to be carried out after this point.
Should the work have to be interrupted for reasons beyond our control or further journeys from home base
should be necessary (e.g. to perform connection work for cable connections or direct transformer bushing
housings) then the waiting period or additional trips will be charged separately at actual costs and according
to daily rate indicated under prices and terms of payments and the initially agreed commissioning end-date
should be proportionally shifted.
During installation and commissioning period the following local personnel has to be at the disposal of the
ABB supervisor:
The electricians, fitters and helpers have to be provided by the purchaser free of charge for CNHHS for the
duration of the installation and commissioning.
The electricians and the fitters must have adequate qualification. Skilled and non-skilled labour placed at our
disposal shall follow the instructions given by ABB's personnel. Nevertheless, they shall remain the
purchaser's employees in every respect.
Note 1:
Attached document “General Conditions for Installation of Plant and Machinery” forms an integrated part of
the installation conditions.
Note 2:
Under Commissioning we understand the technical commissioning of the GIS, i.e. the procedures that
enable the GIS to operate. However, the technical commissioning does not necessarily mean the energising
of the GIS since this procedure depends solely on the Purchaser and may occur in different date later on.
Note 3:
Once that the programme for GIS installation, commissioning and High-Voltage testing (scope of work,
dates, timing, resources) are mutually agreed and approved by ABB and the purchaser, no further changes
(i.e. shorter or longer timetable, interruptions) should be made, otherwise it will have an impact on the
overall price (extra charges to follow) and the final date of completion of installation and commissioning.
Note 4:
The purchaser shall make at his expenses the necessary arrangements for accident prevention. In particular,
he shall bring to the attention of ABB any matter which has to be observed in his interest or that of other
contractors, or where local regulations have to be complied with ABB shall be entitled to refuse or stop works
if safety is not assured.
If site inspection after arrival of supervisor shows that conditions do not comply with ABB requirements,
purchaser has the choice to proceed according following variants:
[A] Start of installation is postponed until all deficiencies are remedied and conditions fulfil ABB
requirements.
Consequences:
The installation schedule shall be extended for the waiting period and waiting period of supervisor
and rental fee for tools will be charged.

(1) ABB test engineer for a period of 06 weeks.
- including travelling and accommodation costs
- including High Voltage Testing kits and testing bushing
Note:
The AC High Voltage test on site shall be carried out strictly in accordance with the GIS manufacturer’s
procedure, which conforms to the IEC requirements.
To avoid misunderstandings, ABB submits to the purchaser the detailed AC High Voltage Test Programme,
that shall be approved in written by the end customer.
According our quality regulation the presence of an ABB test engineer during performance of High Voltage
test is mandatory.
The following devices are necessary for performing the High Voltage test of the quoted GIS and will be pro-
vided for temporary import only (Incoterms of High Voltage Test-Set are CPT Port of Entry). They will remain
in ABB’s property and shall be returned by the purchaser, carriage paid, to the place of dispatch after
performance of intended test.
The final combination of the High Voltage Test-Set depends on the size of test-segments and availability of
individual components at time of testing and might therefore vary.
The weight of the test-set varies between 3 tons and the largest combination 7 tons (for very long GIS
sections or HV-cables).
1.5.4 Training
A detailed training programme will be mutually agreed during negotiations about an order. All charges for
customer’s personnel shall be in customer’s scope of supply.
1.6 Documentation
The contract execution documentation such as switchgear operation and maintenance manual, layout,
single-line, gas-schematic diagram, assembly drawing, floor loading plan, earthing plan, support layout and
schematic diagrams of secondary equipment are considered (5) copies each. Supply of transparency of
polyester (Mylar) copies are not included.
Special documents not listed above but expected by the purchaser shall be clearly stated and listed before
placing of purchase order.
Electronic copies can be provided in .pdf and/or .dxf / dwg format.
For practical coordination of engineering work during the contract execution, the Purchaser shall submit to
ABB the whole set of relevant civil work drawings for the GIS building in any of AutoCAD compatible form.
However for purchaser's convenience and to secure maximum operation reliability we give recommendations
and specifications as far as available to important items not delivered by us, such as:
- General civil work requirements for the GIS building
- Methods of the fixation of the GIS on the floor, static and dynamic loads
- Cable trenches or ducts for secondary and control cables along the GIS and from GIS to LCC and
between LCCs
- Advise on the ventilation requirements (Heat contribution/Thermal loss) for the GIS room
- Sealing of the wall openings for the cable or bus duct crossing
- Advise of the earthing arrangement
- Lifting equipment
- In case of connection of GIS to a power transformer (by cable, short wire or by direct transformer
connection with busduct) the proper design of the transformer is fully in the responsibility of the
transformer manufacturer. As a minimum ABB require, that the transformer manufacturer verify the
proper design by testing the transformer with lightning impulse including impulses chopped on the tail
as recommended by IEC (References: IEC 60076-3 (2000), § 7.2 and § 14 and IEC 60076-1
(1993+A1:1999), Annex A.1.2).
- Leads between the switchgear and the connection points of the station earth.
