CANADA
1.Canada has the third-largest oil reserves in the world ,after Saudi Arabia and Venezuela with an
estimated 176.8 billion barrels of oil ,which are four times more than Kazakhstan and 6 times greater than
Russia.
2. Sixty percent of polar bears in the world or approximately 25,000 can be found in Canada. In Churchill,
they leave their cars unlocked for pedestrians to use as a temporary refuge if they encounter polar
bears .In Northwest Territories ,license plates are shaped as polar bears.

3. Freshwater, freshwater and more freshwater is the great benefit of having 563 lakes. More than sixty
percent of the world’s lake water is found in Canada resulting so much coastline its recorded in the
Guinness Book of World Records.

4. Canada can get as cold as it does on the surface of Mars .On February 3, 1947, a small village of Snag
had a temperature of -63 degrees Celsius or -81.4 degrees Fahrenheit ,which are about the same
temperature as the surface of Mars.

5. Canada’s border with the United States is the longest border International Boundary in the world with a
length of 8,891 kilometers or 5,525 miles.

AUSTRALIA

1. Australians love sports. They even have their own version of football ,Australian Football .It is
similar to American football or rugby, but there are different rules, which is why the sport is also
called Aussie rules.
2. On the twenty-fifth of January,Australians celebrate Australia Day .It is celebrated to remember
the day when the first English settlers arrived in Australia on the 26 of January 1788
3. Australia's capital is Canberra even though the cities Melbourne and Sydney are much bigger
and much more famous.
4. Australian Aborigines made them out of wood and used them for hunting .They were also called
throw sticks and were thrown at animals such as birds or kangaroos to kill them.
5. Today boomerangs are used for sport and for fun and are an important symbol of Australian
culture and history.
