The Institute offers ‘NICMAR Top Ranker’s Scholarship’, ‘NICMAR Means-
Based Top Ranker’s Scholarship’, ‘NICMAR Excalibur Award Scholarship’, ‘NICMAR Merit Scholarship’ and ‘Cherry Hill Interiors Ltd. Merit Scholarship’ to its students. Students will be eligible for only one award/scholarship for a particular academic trimester. Companies that accept students for summer internship generally offer allowances/stipends during the training period. NICMAR Top Ranker’s Scholarship Five students securing the highest marks in the ‘NICMAR Common Admissions Test’ and other selection criteria of the admission process will be awarded scholarships. The scholarship will consist of full admission fee, tuition fee, hostel and boarding charges waiver for the entire duration of the programme. This scholarship is available for students wanting to pursue any of NICMAR’s full time two year post graduate programmes. If the students eligible for the scholarship, decline or postpone the admission to NICMAR’s full time two year post graduate programme, this scholarship will not be offered to the student who postpones his/her admission for any reasons whatsoever, or to other students. These students must comply with the following requirements for continuance of scholarship in subsequent academic trimesters. Breach of any of these conditions will disqualify the student for the same and will make the student forfeit the scholarship. In such a case, the student will have to pay the necessary fees, hostel and boarding charges for the next academic trimester. The scholarship will be restored in subsequent trimester/s, depending on the fulfillment of the conditions stated below. i. The awardees' attendance in any course of study shall not be less than 80%. ii. Students should pass the trimester in the first attempt. iii. Trimester Performance Index (TPI) should be 8.5 or above. iv. The awardees shall have no adverse comments/grading on record from the disciplinary committee for any reason whatsoever. v. No gaps/break in trimesters whatsoever during the entire programme are permissible. vi. The decision of the PGP Executive Committee shall be final and binding on all parties concerned, subject to the approval of Director General. vii. The awardees shall maintain high standards of conduct and behaviour and conform to the discipline of the Institute, as laid down in the ‘Code of Conduct’ of the Institute. NICMAR Means-Based Top Ranker’s Scholarship Five students out of 100 students securing the highest marks in the ‘NICMAR Common Admissions Test’ and other selection criteria, whose gross annual family income is less than INR 6,00,000 and need financial support to complete their education at NICMAR will be awarded scholarships. The scholarship will consist of full admission fee, tuition fee, hostel and boarding charges waiver for the entire duration of the programme. This scholarship is available for students wanting to pursue any of NICMAR’s full time two year post graduate programmes. If the students eligible for the scholarship, decline or postpone the admission to NICMAR’s full time two year post graduate programmes, this scholarship will not be offered to the student who postpones his/her admission for any reasons whatsoever, or to other students. Documents to be submitted for NICMAR Means-Based Top Ranker’s Scholarship Only Any of the following documents should be submitted to the Institute to verify the economic status of the student/person/s responsible for funding the student’s education at NICMAR. i. In case of salaried persons, a copy of the latest Income Tax Assessment Order or Salary Slips for last financial year should be given by the parents/student/spouse of the student/guardian. ii. Copy of the latest Income Tax Assessment Order for a non-salaried person should be given by the parents/student/spouse of the student/guardian. iii. In case of agricultural/any other income not covered by (i) or (ii) above, a self-declaration of income should be given by the parents/student/spouse of the student/guardian, along with a bank statement of last financial year. NICMAR Excalibur Award Scholarship A special award is being offered by the Institute to stimulate excellence and scholarship of the highest order amongst the student community of NICMAR. The award is titled as ‘Excalibur Award Scholarship’. It is awarded to the students securing the highest rank amongst all students of ACM [Pune, Hyderabad (Shamirpet), Goa (Farmagudi) and Delhi NCR (Bahadurgarh) campuses], PEM [Pune and Hyderabad (Shamirpet)], REUIM, IFDM and CSCDM programmes. The award is presented trimester-wise and it consists of waiver of full tuition fee and hostel fee for the trimester in which the student has secured the highest rank. Award will be given on the basis of Trimester Performance Index (TPI). In case of a tie, student having higher Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) will be given the Excalibur award. In case there is a tie even on the CPI, the student securing the highest number of ‘AA’ grade followed by the highest number of ‘AB’ grade will be given the award. If the tie still continues, the student getting the highest marks in the internal, term end exam and workshop assessment in the trimester concerned will be given the Excalibur award. NICMAR Merit Scholarship Scheme These rules are framed to institute, operate and disburse scholarships to students of full time two year post graduate programmes offered by NICMAR.

Criteria and Rules for Award of Scholarships
i. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the Trimester Performance Index (TPI) of the concerned academic trimester. ii. A merit list will be prepared based on the TPI, of 10% students of all the full time two year post graduate programmes of Pune, Hyderabad (Shamirpet), Goa (Farmagudi) and Delhi NCR (Bahadurgarh) and scholarships will be awarded as detailed in Table 1A. iii. In case of any tie amongst the candidates on the same TPI, merit will be determined by Cumulative Performance Index (CPI). In case of a tie in CPI, the student securing the maximum number of grade ‘AA’ followed by the maximum number of grade ‘AB’ will be given preference. After that, if the tie continues, the scholarship amount will be split evenly amongst the candidates concerned. iv. Award of scholarship will be decided after the declaration of each term end examination results. v. The scholarship will be paid after the declaration of the same. The merit holders for Excalibur Award Scholarship and Award of Merit Scholarship should fulfil the following conditions. Breach of any one of these conditions shall make them liable to be disqualified for the award of scholarship. i. The awardees’ attendance in any course of study shall not be less than 80%. ii. The awardees shall have no adverse comments/grading on record from the disciplinary committee for any reason whatsoever. iii. Any act of indiscipline shall make the awardees liable to forfeiture of the award. iv. The decision of the PGP Executive Committee shall be final and binding on all parties concerned, subject to the approval of Director General. v. The awardees shall maintain high standards of conduct and behaviour and conform to the discipline of the Institute, as laid down in the Code of Conduct. vi. The decision of the PGP Executive Committee regarding the forfeiture/suspension of the award shall be final, subject to the approval of Director General. In case of any grievances, the student may apply to the Director General. Such cases will be finalised by the Academic Council. No appeal will be allowed against the decision of the Academic Council. Cherry Hill Interiors Ltd. Merit Scholarship Name of Scholarship: Cherry Hill Interiors Limited Merit Scholarship. Number of Scholarships: Six, three for junior and three for senior batch students. Commencement: July, 2016 Eligibility: All students of the full time two year post graduate programmes at NICMAR. Criteria and Rules for Award of Scholarships i. The awardees’ attendance in any course of study shall not be less than 80%. ii. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the Trimester Performance Index (TPI) of the concerned academic trimester. iii. A merit list based on the TPI of the top three each from senior and junior batch students of all full time two year post graduate programmes as detailed in Table 1B will be prepared. iv. Criteria for Selection: Top three rank holders from junior batch and top three rank holders from senior batch of full time two year post graduate programmes. The top rank holder will get Rs. 10,000/- per month, the second rank will get Rs. 9,000/- and the third rank holder will get Rs. 8,000/- per month for the academic term. Project Management Institute’s (PMI®) Scholarship
Name of Scholarship: PMI Meritorious Award for the best students in project management courses. Number of Scholarships: Ten Value of Scholarship: A maximum value of Rs. 1,55,000/- per year. Commencement: July, 2015 Eligibility: All final year students of the full time two year post graduate programmes at NICMAR. Criteria for Selection: The top ten rank holders completing the first year of the full time two year post graduate programmes every year and with a minimum score of 75% in the project management related courses, subject to clearance of examination of Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). If, for some reason, any of the top ten qualifying students are unable to take the CAPM examination, the opportunity will go to the next student in the list upto the 15th position. In the event of a ‘tie’, the decision of the Director General, NICMAR will be final. In case the scholarship amount is not utilised fully in any particular year for not meeting the laid down criteria, the scholarship may be extended by another year subject to availability of funds. In the event of any changes in the CAPM fees or fluctuation of the currencies (USD vs. INR); the total amount available every year will be capped at INR 1,55,000/-. AWARDS FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE i. NICMAR-Institute Gold Medal Award NICMAR awards the ‘Institute Gold Medal’ for securing the highest marks amongst all graduating students of the Institute’s following full time two year post graduate programmes of all campuses: ACM, PEM, REUIM, IFDM and CSCDM. ii. NICMAR-Institute Silver Medal Award NICMAR awards the ‘Institute Silver Medal’ for securing the highest marks amongst all graduating students of the Institute’s post graduate programmes from ACM (all campuses), PEM [Pune and Hyderabad (Shamirpet) campuses], REUIM, IFDM, CSCDM, MFOCB, QSCM [Hyderabad (Shamirpet)] and HSEM [Hyderabad (Shamirpet)]. iii. NICMAR-Maheshwar Ghansham S. Kakodkar Gold Medal Award ‘Maheshwar Ghansham S. Kakodkar Gold Medal’ instituted by Pandurang Ghansham S. Kakodkar, at NICMAR campus, Mushtifund Saunstha, Goa, for securing the highest marks amongst all graduating students of post graduate programme in Advanced Construction Management at NICMAR, Goa. iv. PMI Gold Medal Award Project Management Institute has instituted a ‘PMI Gold Medal’ for a student who scores the highest marks in Project Management related courses amongst all graduating students of the Institute’s full time two year post graduate programmes of all campuses and also clears the CAPM examination conducted by PMI.
