To Whom It May Concern:
On behalf of Seblework Sineshaw I provide this letter of recommendation. My professional relationship
with Mrs. Sineshaw began in September, as I have supported her in the role of internship site supervisor
throughout the 2019-2020 school year at Heatherwood Middle School in the Everett School District. Mrs.
Sineshaw is anticipated to complete all required activities and hours per her City University school
counseling graduate requirements.
During Mrs. Sineshaw’s internship experience she has participated in multiple student and parent
meetings, including 504, counselor/administration and PBIS-MTSS meetings. Mrs. Sineshaw has
demonstrated an inquisitive exuberance for the work of the school counselor. She routinely asks questions
and has an unceasing interest in learning the multi-faceted role of school counselor. Mrs. Sineshaw
accepts feedback and instruction as provided by her colleagues.
As part of the City University requirements for 1:1 and small group counseling with students, Mrs.
Sineshaw has developed lesson plans and data measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of her
interventions. She has reflected with honest self-analysis in response to data and been strategic around
how to improve outcomes. Mrs. Sineshaw understands the importance of working collaboratively with
teachers, administration, para-educators, campus security, health room and custodial staff to improve the
educational environment for students.
As the City University, graduate experience has provided, Mrs.Sineshaw has demonstrated understanding
and application of the American School Counseling Association National Model. She evidences ethical
stamina and determination to continue as a student of this model and use its researched based practices to
guide her work as a professional school counselor. Mrs. Sineshaw is tenacious as a professional and
shows creative advocacy on behalf of students.
Sincerely,
Terry Coleman

To Whom It May Concern:
I met Seblework in 2013 while we worked on the same team with the Snohomish County Head
Start Program. Seblework served as the classroom teacher while I was the social worker. We
worked closely together to support the diverse children and families enrolled in the Head Start
preschool program. We partnered to complete home-visits and to run parent meetings. In 2015, I
supervised Seblework in her work as a Family Advocate. In this position, she took on family
support responsibilities in addition to serving as the lead teacher for a Head Start preschool
classroom. She learned the new family support role quickly.
Most recently, I have had the pleasure of once again working with Seblework, this time at
Horizon Elementary School in the Mukilteo School District. Seblework joined the team as a
behavior-support paraprofessional. She brings incredible skill and dedication to her work with
students, many who are highly impacted by trauma and struggle with emotional regulation. I
have observed Seblework de-escalate students in difficult and intense moments. She has built
positive, trust-based relationships with students who are guarded and hard-to-reach. She has a
keen eye for students in need of additional support, whom may have otherwise gone unnoticed.
She especially shines when supporting primary students to develop and practice social and
emotional skills. Many other staff members have learned from observing Seblework.
