CURRENT CORONA SITUATION AND POST
The Current covid-19 situation has made the world slower. The outbreak of corona virus has
made all the industry’s worst affected, Specifically Hospitality industry. The hospitality industry
has always been a supportive tangent for the Indian economy. It contributes approximately 25%
in the overall Gross domestic product but because of the corona virus and the ban to travel
worldwide, the industry is suffering with terrible losses which is resulting in job losses
worldwide. But many professionals say that it is a blessing in disguise. Many say that the
industry is grow tremendously post corona situation and newly made policies will come into
play.

The digital framework seems to strengthen because of the current issue. Security and testing was
not a major issue before the Covid-19 outbreak but post the issue, the emphasis will be more of
safety and security of the customers. It is more likely to predict that the cost of hotels might
increase because of the testing but it will help the industry to fetch more and more profits by
increasing the base fare. The government is working closely to boost the sector for the coming
years. The Government has given tax subsidies to the hospitality industries and are planning to
give more of it to overall boost the sector. With the government interventions there is a
possibility of various job opportunities in the industry.
The economy of various countries has been affected in the Covid Pandemic. The overall
economy is expected to see a depleting curve like the 2008 Global Recession or even worse.
Many economists say it is a Blessing in disguise for various countries but noting is theoretical.
Some reports state that it will not be as bad for India as compared to other countries. Instead for
India it will be a great opportunity to boost its economy. Because of the rage china is facing
worldwide it is more likely to predict many companies will be shifting their bases to India as it
has the least corporate tax worldwide. India seems to be the least affected country looking at its
volume of population, but extreme care is expected from the citizens as well. The lockdown of a
month is one of the key factors that the spread of virus has been kept in control else if USA,
India would also kept the countries open then it would had been a big problem for Indians to
handle the virus.
The testing has been started in India for masses. The amount of people getting tested are
approximately 35,000 so far and it is the positive sign of good leadership taken by the
government. It is expected that the Vaccine for Covid-19 will come around December, but every
great country has started working for the cure. The World health organization (WHO) is working
in close coordination with the developed and Developing countries to have a vaccine prepared as
soon as possible.
To conclude,
We are all in this together and together we can fight with everything. We should look at the
merits of the Hospitality sector evolving in the future instead of being pessimist. Everything will
fall at its place by just giving some time. Together we can make a difference.
