ABSTRACT

The idea of this study was to improve the writing skills of students as well as the

teachers . Three ideas channeled this study: to assess the impact of writing skills; to

improve performance, to identify the factors that improve learning of students, to

discover the absence of self-desire is a significant cause in the insignificant

functioning of students. This report used a survey research design that anaimed

population of specific area of schools. From this population, a sample of 45 students

and 45 teachers were sampled. The method of data collection was questionnaires.

Statistics implicated the use of frequency, score, mean, and ratios of the respondents.

Mentionable results are that presenting awards and reinforcing students is a valuable

learning procedure. The research also revealed that writing skills improves the

performance of the students. The more the learning is, the more the exceptional

performance will be. The other significant finding of this study concluded that student

learning has a positive impact on accomplishment. Efffective learning is a significant

factor in good academic performance. The forthcoming studies should emphasis on

how learning procedures can be made to have a permanent effect. It was suggested

that upcoming scholars should considerthe emphasis on to make subject delivery

more inspiring to motivate scholarship.

CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of the Study
Impact of writing skill on teaching and learning is a burning problem now a days.
Lackness of effective writing skill is key step in the obliteration of learning of
students . I knew up to some extent about this problem before choosing this topic as I
observed in many areas of the city. I preferred to select this kind of topic for my
research. There are plenty of students which are effected due to poor skills of writing
which affects their learning. Also this leads to poor literacy rate in the whole country.
Main purpose of this research is to get rid of this disease from the whole country to
improve the learning in different schools(Gondal, 1993).

The topic on which I am going to do search already under consideration in

different minds of the country and in the foreign countries. Different local and
foreigner thinkers are working on this topic. In (Adelabu, 2004), made the detailed
visits of many areas of the country. He took opinions from different schools of
thoughts. After gathering data from different localities he analyzed the data for future
use. Implementation on his research up to some extent enabled the institutes to
overcome this issue. Another observation is that that the learning is badly affected
by the existing problem .

Adeyemi (2008) formulated the investigating team to observe the problem in

detail. For this purpose he with his companions took opinions from teachers and
parents from different localities of country. They came to the point that for precise
and fruit full learning in this highly populated country the writing skill should be full
of effectiveness otherwise poor skills will affect the learning badly in future. They in
detail observed and explained the importance of writing skills of parents. (Aroosiya,
2010).

In spite of many research work on this kind of problem still this requires
further research for further confirmation. This is continuous problem which is existing
11

in the city and propagating day by day with the passage of time due to our negligence
in overcoming this problem. A researcher also faces problems from the parents and
teachers during his research which will be discussed in detail in the comings headings.
There should be more work on this topic from other researcher especially teachers
who are facing this type of problem during teaching. When teamwork will be done
then there will be evolution in this field and learning will be effective and fruit full in
all areas of the city.

This research work will help other thinkers to compensate this evil in precise way.All
betterment will be there only when there is implementation on this task after research
otherwise all research will be wasted and problem will go on increasing day by day.
This situation will be alarming to every city, every locality and directly obliterate the
whole nation.

Usually in this segment research title is explained by the researcher

thoroughly. This is based upon the background study. This means that the when
background study is studied by the researcher and references are given by the teacher
then tis becomes to explain the statement of the topic precisely otherwise it becomes
to elaborate the statement of the research title. The research statement on which I
want to work is formulated as follows:-

‘’Impact of Writing Skill on Teaching Learning Process.”.

Purpose of writing this statement is to clearly elaborate the title of the research which
is obvious from the statement. This statement is kept so simple which will be easily
understandable for both the learners and the readers. This statement clearly predicts
the location where problem is being existed and what is the problem in reality. No
doubt problem is existing everywhere in the world and should be removed to enhance
thee learning .For this we don’t need to explore all over the world. We just need to
overcome this problem from our country.(Farid, 2011),Factors affecting teacher`s
motivation. [International Journal]

Studies have revealed that the teaching and learning will be effective only
when they are kept simple and understandable for every learner. If the problem is not
12

explained in native language or in simple words then will be functionless for the
society ant for the future of the individuals and for the nation directly. By seeing
roughly once time one becomes able to understand the problem and our concern is
related to the understanding of the readers and the leaners. This statement is full
filling this requirement through his simplicity, preciseness, effectiveness and mobility.
According ‘’miller and Harley every ting is possible except impossible”. In this world
nothing is impossible if we do hard work regularly and effectively. Destruction
happens only when we don’t work in time and with our conscious control. This are so
simple to explore only when we are interested to explore these things( Khatib, 2007)

So for understanding our hypothesis should be tentative, easily testable and

falsifiable and simplest form. Not in this segment this simplicity should be retained
throughout the research so this will impart some positive impacts on the learning of
the students and the teachers and other society members.. Improvements in these
fields will improve the future of the nation and nation will earn the name among other
nations in the world. When we ourselves presents the simple things in more difficult
words this puzzles us and our kids with brutality and destruction becomes the fate of
the nation. Title statement is kept simple and worthy for the understanding of the
common minds.
( Aroosiya, 2010)

1.5 Significance of the study

It has historical and scientifically proved that the without learning and hard
work it is impossible to earn name among the civilized nations of the world. The
nations which are developed one now a days in the world had revolutionized them in
the recent past. When there were plenty of problems in their countries they noticed the
basis of destruction of their countries. They came to the point that a brutal system is
responsible for the destructions of their nation and without obliterating this cruel
system they cannot progress. For this purpose they educated the individuals how
system makes the humanity helpless and what are the basis of this cruel system. After
educating the students they formulated the team which established the system. In this
way they obliterate the system of brutality and effectively promoted their education
system and now a days those nations are leading other nations and their nations have
14

become civilized. We did not focused on the main reason the problems which are
being existed in our country and region for several decades.(Ismail, 2010)

Significance of the study has revealed from above mentioned lines. It is the
learning and study which enable a nation to earn their names among the other nations
of the world. So a nations in this era wants progress they should improve their
scientific and researches in other fields of the life otherwise it will difficult one for
them to command other nations in the field of science of technology which has
become essential parameter of the modern age. So importance of the study in any
field cannot be ignored if we want progress in every field of the life. We will have to
give immediate response to hard work In learning in every field of the life in order to
compete the other developed nations of the world other there will no symbols of our
existence on earth.

1.6 Scope and limitations of the study

Bani(2004)found that the learning and scientific achievements have endless boundary.
With the passage of time humans are progressing in the fields of science and
technology and it is not possible without the required and effective studies on
particular subjects. There are no limits of knowledge and information in this age but
main thing which matters that weather this material is relevant or not.
He said that studies have wide scope in every aspect and cannot be ignored in any
manner. The main purpose of the studies is that we will have to explore the nature
which very complex and It’s totally impossible to understand it without critical
thinking. Learning is limited only too few subjects and few years. It is continuous
process of the life which enhances the living standards of the human beings. It has
enormous importance in every aspect of the life and should be kept on moving.
Saeed (2005) presented their research work on the scope of studies in the
propagation of the nation in different fields of the life among other nations. He
noticed without reasonable and precise hard work in any field will not result in better
outputs. He confidently said that every thin is possible except impossible in this word
but hard work is essential one for this purpose. Many nations have destructed
themselves due to lack of hard work and many nations have revolutionized
themselves by frequently usage of the studies in every fields of the life and they are
15

governing the nations of the world. This became possible only when they gave
importance to hard work and learning.
Lodhi (2013) showed that the nations which did not give any importance ant gave
poor importance to studied have become fallen down and still they are developing
one among other nations. This happened only when we did not give fruit full response
to the changes which were happening in the world. Research can be kept limited for
sake of convenience but there is no limitation of the learning and knowledge and it
has enormous scope in every field off the life. . When a nation progresses or a
country progresses then a whole region progresses and automatically at international
level whole nation with region is honored and results in the prosperity of nation and
the region.

1.7 Delimitation of the study

Delimitation is the term which is just opposite to the imitation. Delimitation is
confined to the specific area, place, population and gender. For a researcher it is
totally impossible to cover all the aspects and related examples. That is the reason
different branches are projected for a single subject and every individual does his own
work. Suppose a researcher wants to search on confidence building in students at
secondary level in different schools of Lahore city. Another student will work on
another work and both of these and other readers will be benefited from their works
which they have done separately at different institutes . In this way work is divided
into teamwork which is fulfilled abruptly and effectively.

Every researcher chose the area of his interest for his research work and it
becomes sake up to some extent. Aoki (1988) Was working on the topic during the
session 2002-7 and he had specified the location population samples and other things.
This was done because it was difficult to examine every aspect of the running topic.
Delimitation is very important during research work because world has lot of
knowledge and information but quality is missing. So we should be confined to a
specific area and specific problem during the research work. All these conversation
are supporting the concept of the delimitation and indirectly benefits the researchers
for future ease. Many researcher like…. thank a lot on a specific topic which enable
him to think critically and growth will be productive. Before starting the research it is
very essential phenomenon that research area purpose, application and schedule
16

should be maintained. This act will never confuse the researcher during the research
work and his research will be effective understandable and precise. This work will be
comfortably help the readers and other researchers.

By taking guidance from his supervisor one can formulate the effective and
comprehensive research work on this kind of topic by (Anthony, 2002), presented that
no doubt in this era knowledge and information are in abundance but research work
should be confined to the specific title which should be described in this manner that I
becomes easily understandable for both the learners and the readers. In this segment
one can explore the general outcomes of the research work which will be proved
helpful in further explanation during the research work. This al will be fruit full only
when we will remain confined to the specific objectives related to specific title.

1.8 Research methodology

1.8.1 Population
Population in research refers to the students and teachers of one special area .
Suppose one wants to research on the topic water pollution and his effects on the lives
of different kinds. For this purpose he will first search the literature from the text
books and from the net. After he will concern with the teachers who know about the
formation and effects of water pollution. For this purpose he will select some
individuals from different localities of different regions. These individuals will
provide the opinions by themselves to the researcher on basis of which researcher will
analysis and will want to present the research work. It is confirmed that the selection
of the population will be precisely done and population should never be the routine
work which will result in the poor research work.( Aoki,1988).

1.8.2 Sample
Sample is the group on individuals or collection of data which is used during
work. For research there should be informative and related samples. Samples will not
be so extensive and will not be two short it must be precise and easily understandable
for other readers and learners. An American (Mackenzie, 1996), showed that the
17

sample is simply may be individuals on whom work will be done or it is simply the
subject related syllabus which is collected by the worker for his title work. This can
be taken from different sources. There are different methods for the collection of the
samples for different research work. For example if anyone wants to do work on the
topic ‘’ Law of conservation of energy,, then text book, teachers who provide
guidance, recommended books and the other locality members are the samples for the
researcher for particular research work.

45 Students are selected randomly from the selected Population..

1.8.3 Research Instruments

Research instruments are the methods through which data for the research
work is collected by the researcher. These methods may be the questions like open
ended or closed ended which can be asked from the population 0r samples. Opinions
may also be taken about the title on which work is being done. Through questioning
and the opinions a researcher becomes able to analyze the research work easily. This
may also include the checklist, weekly report and other analysis documents.

The purpose of this to present an effective research work along with the involvement
of other society members. This collective work will result in the improvement of
students learning and national building. Instrument may be of any kind but
requirement is the evaluation of the previous works on this particular topic. For a
researcher research instrument should be specific throughout the research duration
and should not be changing one with the passage of time. If anyone uses more than
one type of research instruments it will against the rules of the university and his
research work will not be accepted fully. Finally it is cleared from the above
discussion that the research instruments are the tools through which a research work is
carried out and it is kept specific while doing the research work.

1.8.4 Data collection

Without taking opinions and answers of the questions from selected students
cannot take final decision about his research work. For this he should consider the
importance of the opinions of the parent, teachers and other individuals who take
impart in the learning process of the students. After taking opinions from different
18

teachers and students of thoughts it becomes easy for researcher to conclude the
results for his research topic

. Data is basically the information and opinions which are collected during the
research work. From these information which are errorless a researcher can predict
the problems which are faced by the students during learning and becomes easy to
predict the solution of those problems. For data collection there are some tools which
can be used are following:

1) Writng experts ii) Modern technology

ii) From teachers and students

It is very essential that data collection should be reliable which can be analyzed easily
and its output will be beneficial for propagation of the society.

1.8.5 Data analysis

This is very important step in research work as it provides the final result of
the research work. Data can be analyzed in two ways; i) It can be analyzed
qualitatively or it can be analyzed ii) quantitatively. Both the strategies have their own
importance. In some situations quantitative is help full and in some cases qualitative is
use full.

My research work need qualitative more as compared to the quantitative. So

during my research work I will no doubt collect date from different from different
individuals in the form of their opinions but will analyze it qualitatively than
quantitatively as former will provide more best way to predict the problem and its
solution. Data analysis and data interpretation is key step in research work due to
which it becomes easy for us to present the final results more precisely and effectively
and these results will be use full to overcome the existing problems related to the
learning.

Applebaum (1994)Wrote a booklet on the learning of the students in different

academic institutes like schools colleges universities and other academic institutes.
During his duration of course work he in detail studied the impact of different factors
like role of teachers parents society in the effecting learning of the students at
secondary and higher secondary schools of the country.
19

A national development is associated with the perfection of the education

system and the effectiveness of the learning process in the education system. That’s it
is forced to change the brutal system which is the main problem of the problems
which are existing in our society now a days frequently. Without the obliteration of
this capital system it will be totally impossible to overcome the problems existing
within the societies.

A research paper published by (Armstrong, 2006), presents the importance of

data collection and the data analysis during the research work very effectively. Write
said that the data collection provides the basis for the research work. Data enables a
researcher to step forward for further work in the project. He also told that the along
with the data collection data analysis imparts its role in overcoming the existing
problems related to the learning understanding improved communication skills
evaluation assessment management skills and other teaching skills. After effective
analysis previous mistakes can be corrected and new techniques and strategies can be
made. There are some factors which effect the process of learning in schools like
poverty unemployment careless and paralyzed traditions etc

. It was noticed that the countries are adopting the new techniques and methods in
order to have betterment in the field of science and technology which will promote the
creative thinking among the students and students will be able to solve the problems
by themselves. When students become able to understand and creative then this habit
will be promoted to in coming generations and country will show performance in ever
field of the life. When we are better in the field of the science and technology then it
will become easy for us to control and command the other nations in more effective
and we will promote our economy and honor among other nations of the world. But
this will be possible only when we do it through proper planning and effectively and
precisely in our academic institutes. In future all over the world we will present
ourselves more confidently and actively.
20

CHAPTER:2

LITERATURE REVIEW

2.1 Need and importance of learning

World has progressed in every field of the life. There are many countries which are
considered developed countries in the world. We will have to analyze what is the
reason behind this miracle? Through struggle and investigation in every field of life
they have become able to command the nations of the world. In those countries there
are enormous researches on the topic how to learn and why we should learn? With the
passage of time through proper and precise work on this point they have become able
to explore the effective learning in every field especially earlier academic phase of
the students. For progress in the fields of the life learning is very essential one.
Effective learning will enable us to compete the nations in different segments of the
life(Arthur, 1992)
Dessler (2006) found that the planning prior to learning is effective one
strategy to enhance the quality education in the institutes. His work was mainly on the
topic ‘how cooperation of parents and teachers effect the learning of the students?
For this purpose he made plan to investigate by taking opinions of different teachers
of different institutes at different academic level. By collecting on different opinions
from different mindsets he presented that cooperation between these two parties has
fuel importance for student learning.
For further confirmation he compared the learning of two students. He noticed that
one student was bright and he had caliber to understand the punch concepts easily but
his students were careless according to his studies and the other one student was no
bright like former one but he his parents were serious about the process of the
learning. His parents weekly reported the teacher about the studies of their kid in the
home and teacher also regularly reported the progress report of their kids to them.
Resultantly later learned well as compared to former one end it was proved that the
cooperation of teacher and parents is very important for students learning.
(Frechette, 2009)
Another researcher (Azzara, 2001),there is very close relation between
learning and teaching process . He also included society impact on teachers and
21

parents cooperation. He noticed that some societies effect the cooperation between
teacher and the student. Some localities do not give any importance to teaching
profession and these are the symbols of the poor and cruel education system and the
learning which will definitely obliterate the society.

He gave many examples related to society impact on the teacher and parents
cooperation on students learning. Especially the student of rich parents do not focus
on learning and their parents don’t bother about their activities and don’t concern with
teacher due to which distances between the parent sand the students become more and
student’s leaning process is affected badly. This will definitely effect the society in
future. So for these kinds of the students precise and effective cooperation between
the parents and teacher has spark importance(Arat, 2012)

2.2 Education System and Learning

Meshoulam (2000) predicted that Learning is directly related to the existing system of
the education. This system greatly influence the learning of the students and the
propagation of the nation. Different fields of the life are closely related to the
effective system of education. When there is a quality education system then there
will be effective learning and precise future of the nation. Also education is directly
related with the ideology on which this system is based. Regions where there is a
system of brutality education system is totally paralyzed and learning is no more
formative and ongoing.

According to (Bjbrkman,1999), there is a fuel link between the education

system and learning. He has spent half of his life on investigating this phenomenon
and concluded that learning is essential one for the progress of the nation but first it is
related to the effective education system. For precise conclusion he compared learning
of the students of two countries. He noticed that the students in the green land were
not too much intelligent but there is productive education system which enhances the
learning of the students

. On the other hand he showed that the students in Asian countries are no doubt
creative in their thinking but there is a lack of facilities and effective education system
in these countries.. From his observation he concluded that for effective learning
system of education should be enormously precise and balanced for all learners and
22

there should be no discrimination among them according to their studies and

institutes.(Lindsay, 2007)

Everything is possible except impossible (Marshall, 1987),This saying clarify

the importance of education system on the learning of the students at secondary level.
If we want progress in our lives then we should have sense of tis saying. In this world
nothing is impossible but condition is to hard work in respective field. According
to….learning is nothing but perfectiveness of the learning system within a country.
When this educating system is full of good learning policies ,rules and their
implementation then outcomes will be effective one for the learners and the nation
also. When there is some sort of discrimination then results will be hazardous for
both the entities

. After reviewing these researches it has become clear that without a effective
education system learning will not be effective and nation cannot earn honor among
the civilized nations of the world. So for effective learning process we will have to
obliterate the system of brutality which is being existed in our country otherwise
learning and education system cannot be effective. After the obliteration of this
system of brutality it will become easy for us to establish a productive education
system that will result in the effective learning and the progress of the nation in
different system of the life. Finally it is proved that the education system is important
for effective learning of the students( Makewa, 2016)

2.3 Impact of writing on learning

It is obvious from historical observations that writing imparts the great contribution in
the learning of students and this impact is propagating day by day and will continue
up to the endless propagation of the human beings. So learning cannot be studied
without considering the writing. Many researches had been impressive work on this
title and they proved that the writoing has effective role in building the nations. First
there should be the obliteration of the system which provides the paralyzed education
system and decline in other institutions of different fields.Mawhinney (1990) said that
without destructing the existing brutal system it is totally impossible to improve
learning process. So writing has great influence on the learning of the students which
is turn related to the existing system in the country.
23

If this system is based on the justice then its low falling fields will be fruit full both
for the learning of the students and for the national building. Paunonen (2007) While
working during his research with his colleagues and his supervisor took opinions from
different parents and locality members related to the topic impact of writing on the
learning process of the students at secondary level in nearby region. They collected
information mean opinions of the different thinkers in the writing and arranged the
data for analysis. They also took the opinions of teachers .

2.4 Role of writing in student`s learning

For the learning of the students up to the secondary level academic life of
the students or above is very essential without any doubt. Without writing skills
learning of the students cannot be improved at any level no doubt there are some
exceptions in the society. But writing play a key role in this regard without any
refusal..

The students and teachers who care their writing during their studies are
playing their best role in learning process . The writing of these students and teachers
become good and thy become good learners. In future these students and teachers
become prominent in the society and earn their names and their parents. All these
things impart their role in the brain washing of the hardworking student during their
life spans. For the betterment of the students learning it vital one.
2.5 Role Of Teacher In Student`S Learning

Learning is closely related to the effective teaching method. No doubt bad society
and cruel system affect the process of learning but when a teacher has prominent
teaching skills then the learning of the students can be improved and revolutionized
with the passage of time.

For students learning teacher has some qualities like

1) Unique communication skills

2) Management skills
24

3) Assessment abilities and teacher should have ability how to solve the
psychological problems of the students. Along with these abilities a teacher should be
creative and sympathy to his students and the parents of the students.

Matiang (2016) described in his book about the key role of teacher in effective
learning of the students at secondary level in the New York. He predicted the role of
teacher by giving some population of students to different teachers for few months.
After few months he took opinions from the students about the behavior of those
students with the students and their teaching method. He noticed that some teachers
within few days build the understanding ability of the students and also improved
their learning ability, Communication skills and other hidden abilities. There were
some teachers who did not impart any impressive impact over the learning and the
hidden abilities of the students.

2.6 Institutional role in learning

Studies in America by two (Ames, 1990), reveals that the interactions between parents
and the students can be enhanced through formal gathering and informal
conversations between the teachers and the students periodically. Every parent should
present himself for the improvement in learning of their children in their academic
phase tor their bright future. This bright future will highlight the life of the students
along with the progress of whole country and especially for the satisfaction of their
parents. Institutes and Government should make policies and rules to propagate the
positive and the effective relations between parents and teachers for the creative
learning of the students. When students become creative in their thinking then to solve
numerical problems during their lives becomes easy and they will live a comfortable
life a head. This will be possible only when learning will be effective and precise in
the institutes and other study circles.

2.7 Learning environment for improving writing skills

There are many reason that how effective learning is effected by different factors.
Different factors have already discussed earlier but there are some others factors
which essential one to explore. It is often present that we learn from the environment
in which are living and it is doubtless saying without any objection. Ayub (2010)
found that the same case is with learning environment which is created within the
25

school and at the home. He studied it by comparison between to students one having
good environment related to the environment and other one was not having this type
of the environment. After a precise research for about 6 months he concluded his
results in the form of booklet. I personally inspired from that research work as he
directly focused the environments impacts on the learning of the students at secondary
level academic life.

Davis (1998) presented that the family problem effect the learning of the student
greatly among all other problems. When there is something wrong in the family then
student cannot focus on the topic which is being presented. There are many thinking
are being received at the time of learning related to the family problems. Others
students who are not interested in the learning also effect the learning off the students.
Other students who are not willing for leaning are the kids of rich parents and they do
not need any hard work for living as his parents have lot of to live comfortably in
future.

Bandura (1978) Presented that the environment has great impacts on the
learning process of the students in the schools and in the home also and in improving
writing. He noticed that the environment is directly influencing the leaning in the
positive when environment is transparent and when environment is not supporting the
learning process of the students. Effective leaning environment means that the teacher
is well prepared before the lecture teacher has the communication skills and
management skills. Also institute should have effective rules for the teachers, parents
and the students. Along with this there should be workshops and teacher training
centers for the training of the teaches in order to present effective learning in future
which will indirectly strengthen the economy because good learning will provide
good mind glowing and these minds will take part in policy making forum.

2.8 Effects of effective learning

In previous sections we have forced on the effecting learning. Different
factors like effective teaching methods teaching skills teaching tools have discussed
and concluded that for effective leaning these factors should be taken effectively. All
the teachers and students are responsible for the leaning of the students at secondary
level in the Lahore for the progress of whole nation through these trained and skilled
26

students. Every planned and scheduled always have some important impacts on the
society. So productive interactions between parents and the students will impart
productive and positive impacts on the progress of the whole nation.

Weiner (1972) another important which will be due to the effective leaning
is that the moral values of the writing will be improved . These skills and progress
will improve learning outcomes and attract the other nations towards our country and
these nations will invest here in this country and our GDP will be improved with the
passage of time. We will propagate in the field of science and technology which will
in turn leads to inventions by the countrymen. These inventions will have pleasure
able effects on other nations from our side and they will give us importance among
other nations of the world.

Another important impact of this effective learning is the recognition of ultimate

reality which is the main power in this universe. When there is no effective learning
poverty unemployment and other related problems will be the future of the country.
So to resolve these kinds of the problems effective teaching and learning processes
are very key elements. Effective teaching and the learning are the main factors which
are

2.9 Structure of Education In Pakistan

According to Qureshi (2004) “The relationship between education and the preservation
of national identity is recognized in all enlightened countries. Education can never be a
neutral factor in the life of a nation: either it conserves and builds or destroys national
identity. It may work slowly or rapidly, depending upon the inertia latent in the character
and outlook of the people. A wide awake nation, therefore, tries to ensure that its
educationa system helps to build up its solidarity and inculcates an emotional loyalty
to its existence, its outlook and its ideas. The word education has its origin in Latin,
English and Arabic languages. In Arabic it is derived from the word “ILM”. This means
to know, to perceive the depth to be sure. In this way it is superior to simple knowing.
In Quran it has been said, “God taught the man which he did not know”
In the functional sense the term education is used for the specific direction. It may
also be used for the process that polishes the inherent qualities of an individual.
27

Education is the process of exploring the truth which is there in the mind of an

individual. In this way education enable a man to select his goals and to choose right path
for his achievement.
According to Plato “The process that facilitates the wholesome and balanced
organization of the society through the proper utilization of physical and moral qualities
of the individual as the member of society”. (Basset, 1978)
Education is the process of complete growth memory. In simple words education is the
complete physical and ethical growth of the individual.
“Education is process of development of all those capacities in the individual which
enable him to control his environment and fulfils his possibilities.” (Dewey, 1974)
Education costs the human beings like a module and processes the individuals
to coupe with individuals and collective responsibilities during peace and war. Education
is a channel for developing insight into the principles of peaceful life. It provides
mental, physical. Ideological and moral training to individuals and enables them to
have full consciousness of their purpose in life and help them to achieve that goal.
“Education is one of the basic activities in all human societies because continuous
existence of society depends largely upon the transmission of its heritage to the new
generation. In its broadest sense, education is the process by which society seeks to
transmit its traditions, customs, skills and culture to the younger generation”.
Education is the process of complete growth of an individual in the
natural environment. A media for the solutions to the problems being confronted to
man and society as well. Education not only help in building up of an individual’s
personality and status of the community but also plays an important role in improving
economic conditions of the country. Pope pius xi says that: “Education prepares the man
to fulfill the objective of his creation.” (Basset, 1978)
In the light of various viewpoints about educ ation we may conclude that education
is the life long process of social adjustment. We can preserve and reorganize our culture

and cultural heritage through education. And education is the process of

complete continuous and integrated growth of mental, physical, moral, spiritual and
emotional capabilities. Importance of education and the right type of education cannot be
over emphasized. If we are to make real, speedy and substantial progress we must
28

bring our educational policy and program on the line suited to the genius of our
people, consonant with our history and culture and having regard to the modern
conditions and vast developments that have taken place all over the world. There is no
doubt that the future of our state will and must greatly depend upon the type of
education; we give to our children, and the way in which we bring them up as future
citizens of Pakistan.” (Quaid-e-Azam. 1947) .
29

CHAPTER:3

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research methodology is related with techniques methods which are adopted

by the researcher during the research wok. These techniques and methods are
different for each researcher according to the type of work and he environment in
which work is being done. There are different types of the techniques and methods
which already adopted by previous researchers on particular topic. If anyone wants to
adopt even different methods and techniques he can do this but techniques and
methods should prove the given topic and appropriate results should be done through
these techniques a nd methods.

During my research I selected opinions taking method. For this purpose I met
and took opinions of different individuals from the societies close to my research area.
In those society members teachers, students and their parents participated. I received
different opinions in fever of my thinking and there were other opinions which were
against the expectations but these opinions were very rare. Still I considered those
opinions and gave them importance properly. This technique helped me to conclude
the results in more effective form.

3.1 Research Design

In research methodology research design refers to the proceedings through
which a researcher results at the end of the research work. This may include the
pattern of the research work, survey of the previous research on the particular topic,
used techniques in the research work. In the next step in may include the methods
which were adopted by the researcher during his research work. During my
research work from the beginning I took guidelines from my supervisor about how I
will do this research work. He taught me the process of whole research work. Then I
searched on the topic which was given to me from the net. I also studied books related
to this topic. After studying the books it became comfortable for me to do work on
30

this topic because I had got lot of knowledge and techniques after studying these
books and by usage of the Google. All that efforts helped me to do research work in
more effective way. Above are the segments which I adopted during my research
work designation.

3.2 Population
Population in research refers to the students and teachers of one special
area . Suppose one wants to research on the topic water pollution and his effects on
the lives of different kinds. For this purpose he will first search the literature from the
text books and from the net. After he will concern with the teachers who know about
the formation and effects of water pollution .

For this purpose he will select some individuals from different localities of
different regions. These individuals will provide the opinions by themselves to the
researcher on basis of which researcher will analysis and will want to present the
research work. It is confirmed that the selection of the population will be precisely
done and population should never be the routine work which will result in the poor
research work.( Aoki,1988)

3.3 Sample and Sample Techniques

Sample is the group on individuals or collection of data which is used during work.
For research there should be informative and related samples. Samples will not be so
extensive and will not be two short it must be precise and easily understandable for
other readers and learners. An American (Mackenzie, 1996), showed that the sample
is simply may be individuals on whom work will be done or it is simply the subject
related syllabus which is collected by the worker for his title work. This can be taken
from different sources. There are different methods for the collection of the samples
for different research work. For example if anyone wants to do work on the topic ‘’
Law of conservation of energy,, then text book, teachers who provide guidance,
recommended books and the other locality members are the samples for the researcher
for particular research work.

45 Students are selected randomly from the selected Population.

45 teachers are selected randomly from the selected Poplution.

31

3.4 Instrumentation
The instrument which I used during the research work was the analysis or
interpretation of opinions or questions which was given to the different participants.
For this purpose I made a questinnair of 10 questions .

3.5 Validity and the reliability of the instrument

The types of tools which I selected for my research work by the guidance of
my supervisor proved very effective in research work. Instrument which I used I very
reliable and effective and valid up to unlimited extent. For this purpose my supervisor
gave me a task during my research work as an activity which I full filled effectively
and appreciated precisely. During the research work supervisor asked me to teach the
science of 8th class. Along with this task he also asked me to visit the classroom of
schools to observe the teaching methods of other teacher and compare it with your
own method of teaching.

For this purpose I scheduled the thing properly. I scheduled the time for
observation an also scheduled for visit to take the opinions from the different
mentalities of the society according to the title, There were different opinions of
different minds about the title but almost 90% were in fever of fact that the there is an
integral connection between the interaction effective teaching and effective learning
of the teachers and students. It is universal fact that the learning is directly associated
with the system of education which is related to the existing political and economic
system in the country. There are many countries in the world which have better
political and economic systems due to which they have better learning abilities then
all of us. That is why these countries are progressing day by day in the field of science
and technology and commanding the other nations.

So we want a balanced learning and teaching in our institutes or in other words

we want progress in the world then we will have to obliterate the system of brutality
which is being existed in our country Pakistan. Without obliterating this system of
brutality it will not be possible to overcome this problem. A research work will be
valid and reliable only when this is based on the obliteration of previous rules and
regulations of system of brutality. This is ultimate reality that a nation face this
32

serious problem then that nation will have to break the system which I promoting this
type evil in the society. This needs the power of concentration on a specific objective.
In this way a nation will show progress in every field of the life and will command
other nations effectively.

3.6 Data collection

During my research work I collected data from different sources by different
ways. These sources and ways are very important and reliable. Most of the
researchers use this technique methods and sources for the research work. During
my research work I also modified the works of the previous teachers and researchers.
The problem which I observed during the research work is that the with the passage of
the time students within this polluted society are becoming more and more vulgar and
this indirectly effect the learning and teaching processes of the nation.

Within this society problems are automatically created and very few people
are involved in the promotion of this problem. So first of all we will have to recognize
the basis of this problem and will have to take action to obliterate it from its roots.
The ways which I adopted for the data collection are listed below:

1) Teachers
2) students
3) schools

Above ones are the ways through I have collected the data for my research these
sources proved effective and disciplined. Below are the some sources through which I
collected data for my research work. These are listed below:

1) teachers and students

2) Supervisor
3) Literature

These are the sources from where data was collected and interpreted effectively. All
these are important one according to their level. Due to these sources I have
completed this research work effectively.
33

3.7 Data analysis

Data analysis is the key point in the research work. We as a researcher should
have sense to interpret the data which is collected from different sources. It is the end
ended topic which results from the exact stepwise investigation. Before data analysis
there are few important points which should be full filled ,without those points
research work cannot be done and purpose will failed.

So it has collectively proved that during research work we will have study
books, literature, supervisor and teachers and students . This has proved that the
without research work it is difficult one for anyone to cure the disease or to remove
the problem from the society. So first of all we will have to recognize the problem
then we will have to observe it precisely then formulation of hypothesis.
34

CHAPTER 4

DATA ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION

4.1 Analysis of Questionnaire

In this segment of the research work researcher summarizes the results of the
respondents and the analysis of those results in order to deduce the particular results
from the interpretation of the findings which he gets through the research work
according to his research title. Without doing it a researcher cannot give final
recommendation about his research work. This is done in tubular form and
mathematical operations are being considered while doing this type of the practice
during research work.

Questionnaire: Was used as the research tool and responses from the participants were
taken by using below mentioned response words.

SA: Strongly agreed

A: Agreed

DA: Disagreed

SD: Strongly disagreed

This questionnaire was given to the participants for 5days and its return percentage
was 100% almost. This response taking method from different participants was
proved effective and impressive. It made the research work easy for analysis. In this
way responses were collected from the participants. Participants were given the
statements related to the research work and options were in front of them. After proof
reading each statement they gave the response about in the words like agree, disagree.
It became easy for me to deduce the results from the findings. From my research work
I gave 10 questions or statements to the participants in tubular form. Their responses
in the percentages were written in this segment and results have concluded from these
observation which I made from the responses of the individuals who participated in
this activity.

were agreed with the statement. The percentage of the individuals who were
uncertain was just 2%. There were 0.5% and 2% individuals who were disagreed and
strongly disagreed with the statement. Opinions on the statement showed that almost
90% individuals voted for the agreed and strongly agreed with the statement which
shows that the people in the society are interested in the improvement in the learning
of the students.

Among all other statement or questions which asked to participants this

question was very effective and creative which enabled me to predict the outcome
more precisely during the research work. This is related to the given title of the
research work. Through researches it has proved that the leaning will be more
effective and fruit full when parent and teachers will cooperate each other. When
parents and teacher collectively work to find out the failures of the student regularly
with their interest then students will learn a lot.

Student learning will fully impact the educational system of the country. When
education system will become effective then it will produced learned and skilled
individuals who will play their role in national building. Without any doubt all the
individuals should agree this opinion still there were 26% and 24% individuals who
stood against this statement.

Analysis

Now a days behavior of the students have become very rude with the teachers
due to which teaching and learning are being effected in the schools. This problem is
more prominent in the private schools mostly in the city areas. The main cause of
these behavior is the social media and internet. Students spend most of their time on
social media from where they seek different negativities. Students repeat those
activities in the class room. These students waste themselves and disturb other
students as well.

Rude behaviors effect the learning process. Rude behaviors are the results of
the cruel system which promotes the negativities in the society and particularly in the
classroom which is the place from where future of the nations. There are 47%

CHAPTER : 5

SUMMARRY,FINDINGS,DISCUSSION,CONCLUSION AND
RECOMMENDATIONS

5.1 Summary
Selection of the topic for the research work was not immediate action rather it
was already decided earlier. The problems and their solutions which are discussed are
the problems which are faced by the students and teachers rather these are the are
the universal problem faced by majority of the students, parents and teachers in
different cities of different countries in the world. There are some developed countries
which have overcome this problem effectively in their regions but still there are a lot
of developing countries which are facing still this types of problems in their regions
and without overcoming these problems in learn and teaching fields it will be very
difficult to their names among other nations of the world.

In the beginning studied the research pattern given by the university in detail
in order to understand the proceedings of the research work. On this topic which I
have chosen already people in this country are searching and want to explore the basis
of the problem which are basis of this particular problem. They all are concluding the
same results from their finding while during their research work. One thing is
essential one that parents and teachers interaction are very important to enhance the
learning process. These interactions should be according to the learning of the
students especially. For this purpose how these interactions are really important for
the learning process

. I visited and met with different localities and gather data from this search. I conclude
that the some parents and teachers even do not want to learn their kids at all. I
observed that the children of these parents are more disturbing and their behaviors
also effects the learning of other students in the class room. This ultimately results in
the spoilage of the whole society which leads to the destruction of the whole nation
with the passage of the time.

During the research work opinions were taken from the teachers and parents who
understand the importance of the teachers and parents relationships for the effective
47

learning of the students. Their opinions proved beneficial for me during my research
work to concluded the

results of my research work. Different opinions from different localities of

the city proved the ultimate importance of the interaction between parents and
teachers is essential one for the precise and effective learning of the students at
secondary level in different schools of the city. Effective learning is closely related to
the effective teaching methods which are adopted in this age all over the world
especially in developed and civilized countries presenting themselves effectively all
over the world. They are commanding over the nations of world. This is all due to the
planned and scheduled learning and teaching methods and techniques in their
institutes. These types of planning and methodologies should be adopted to overcome
the problems existing within the institutes.

Along with the opinions of society members teachers and parents from
different regions of the city books and research articles also helped to monitor the
problems related to the topic and their solutions. One is that different schools of
thoughts have different statements but meanings are almost same. Differences may be
in the description and analysis methods and interpretation. At the end it has mentioned
that the all the participating parties should take part in improving the learning process
of the students and effective teaching.

At the end after collection of data from different school of thoughts results
were summarized and emphasized that the meetings and other formal sittings should
be there between institute , teachers and parents. All the participating interties should
will be responsible for the learning of the students. Students will seek how to
communicate to others how to present themselves in front of others. This effective
learning will explore the hidden abilities of the learners. Effective learning will also
develop the leadership qualities in the students and in future they will be able to
command the society and nation more effectively and precisely. Also this will
enhance the critical thinking in the students. In future they will be able to o inventions
in the fields of science and
48

Findings after the investigation and opinions from different school of thoughts reveals
overall impressive technology which will result in the betterment of economy of the
countries.

5.2 Findings
1. When this statement was kept in front of the participants then response was
almost in fever of the statement. For this collection I selected 90 individuals who gave
their opinions in closed question system. There were strongly agree with this
statement having 44% out of 90 Individuals. There were 40% individuals who were
agreed with the statement. The percentage of the individuals who were uncertain was
just 2%. There were 0.5% and 2% individuals who were disagreed and strongly
disagreed with the statement. Opinions on the statement showed that almost 90%
individuals voted for the agreed and strongly agreed with the statement which shows
that the people in the society are interested in the improvement in the learning of the
students .

2. Analysis shows that even only 38% were interested that teacher should inform
the parents about the progress of the student and 33% were those who agreed with the
statement. There were few individuals who were against the statement. Out of
90participants 20% disagreed the statement and o.3% were those who strongly
opposed the statement and rejected the essential one statement.

3. Out of 90 individuals there were 38% participants who also agreed the given
statement. Percentage of the individuals who did not welcome the statement. 13 %
were those who disagreed the statement and 6% were those who strongly disagreed
the given questions. People have their own researchers in this field and they keep fruit
full opinions about has impact of writing skills in learning process.

4. Student learning will fully impact the educational system of the country. When
education system will become effective then it will produced learned and skilled
individuals who will play their role in national building. Without any doubt all the
individuals should agree this opinion still there were 26% and 24% individuals who
stood against this statement.
49

5. When research was done on the 90 people who were literate from the society
average results were obtained. Out of 90 people 27 percentage were those who
strongly agreed. 30% were agreed with the statement which effects the learning.so
collectively 60% were opposing the teachers. 3% and 12% were those who were
teacher`s side that teachers are good in their profession.

6. There are 47% responses which are strongly agreed with the given statement. Out
of 90 individuals 26% responses are agreed. Those who disagreed and strongly
disagreed the statement are 12% and 11% respectively.

7. Rude behaviors effect the learning process. Rude behaviors are the results of the
cruel system which promotes the negativities in the society and particularly in the
classroom which is the place from where future of the nations. There are 47%
responses which are strongly agreed with the given statement. Out of 90 individuals
26% responses are agreed with the given statement which proves that the society
effects the learning process of the students. Those who disagreed and strongly
disagreed the statement are 12% and 11% respectively.

8. When research was done on the 90 people who were literate from the society
average results were obtained. Out of 90 people 27 percent were those who strongly
agreed the statement which shows that the teachers in reality have become careless.
30% were agreed with the statement which effects the learning.so collectively 60%
were opposing the teachers. 3% and 12% were those who were teacher`s side that
teachers are good in their profession. Findings reveals that teacher are showing
carelessness in their profession.

9. There are 47% responses which are strongly agreed with the given statement. Out
of 90 individuals 26% responses are agreed with the given statement which proves
that the society effects the learning process of the students. Those who disagreed and
strongly disagreed the statement are 12% and 11% respectively.

10. Analysis shows that even only 38% were interested that teacher should inform
the parents about the progress of the student and 33% were those who agreed with the
statement. There were few individuals who were against the statement. Out of
50

90participants 20% disagreed the statement and o.3% were those who strongly
opposed the statement and rejected the essential one statement.

5.3 Discussions
In earlier chapters learning methods in different countries have discussed
briefly. By comparison of different countries it was revealed that l earning process is
most effective in the Iceland that’s why they are on the top in quality education all
over the world. US United kingdom Ireland and other countries are improving their
learning skills and techniques and teaching skills and teaching methods. In Asian
countries Malaysia has the effective learning process than other countries. China and
Russia are leading the world in the field of science and technology and in the politics.

Different countries are at peeks in different fields of the life. This has become
possible for them because they have changed themselves a lot. These nations first of
all observed the main problems which were existing in their countries. They came to
know that the without obliterating the system of the brutality it will not be possible to
get rid of this problem. For this purpose they organized the different teams in order to
obliterate and established the new education system. That education system
propagated they whole country in different fields along with the education system.
We are still facing the problems related to the learning process. Their solution have
already discussed in previous system. Only solutions will not matter rather their
implementation in the societies and in the institutes will matter fully. There are plenty
of books and rules in order to improve the effective teaching end the learning of the
students. All the researches are effectively done but their implementation are still
tough one task for us which is due our negligence in the fields of life which is the
main issue in our country.

All these steps should be taken through team work. Without team work it is
not possible to overcome this problem individually. We will have to distribute the
works into different groups and different groups will work separately and results will
be the reflection of the whole team work. For effective learning parents should
cooperate with the teachers daily weekly or monthly but meeting should be held
properly. In these sittings problems related to the students should be discussed and
51

policies should be made to ever come these problems. These are some important
issues which are increasing day by day. These types of techniques and methods
should be adopted by other countries including us to present effective teaching
learning and effective teaching. Once a teacher was teaching in the schools at
secondary level. His students are behaving negatively with the teacher. Many time
teacher called his parents but he did not inform the parents about the situations. Also
parents did not ask their student about the daily homework which was given by the
teachers of different subjects.

Daily monthly and tests reports were not reported to the parents and in turn
parents did not ask the student about the progress report of their kid. The progress of
their kids were not satisfactory at all. When result were announced and parents were
called then parents blamed the teacher about the progress. There are many such cases
in the city but no one wants to cure it precisely. These are the factors which effect the
learning and the teaching processes. Students should be warned and skipped out when
they cheat or misbehaves and parent should never blamed the teaching staff or
institutes. These are the mistakes of the student not the teacher which should be
noticed by the parents and other relatives. When all the parties will cooperate with
each other leaning will be effective and interactions will be fruitful between parents
and the students. In previous segment it was also decided the meetings formally or in
formally should be arranged on weekly bases. When meetings and other gatherings
are done formally then are very less chances of effective less learning in the institutes
and both the parents and the students will be pleased by the performance and by the
progress. In the schools colleges and universities we are concern with the progress of
the students in order to make their future. When learning is effective then there are
very less chances that student will show impressive progress but exceptional cases are
here. There are some students who do not receive effective teaching methods and
learning environment but they perform well.

These are the student which are in fractions but they exist on this planet. This
effective ness comes thorough the hard working and by the guidelines from the
seniors and with the help parents. Students learning cannot be effective without the
involvement of their parent up to 70% academic life.
52

5.4 Conclusions
There are two ways in which conclusions can be concluded. Both the ways are
separately important no one can be ignored at all. One way is quantitative way and the
other one is the qualitative way. In first way of conclusion we see the quantity of
positive and somewhat negative opinions. This quantity may be in the form of number
of samples, number of teacher which do not teach heartedly. Number of students who
do not care about the learning and the parents who also do not care their kids in the
learning process. The analysis of these quantitative results and conclusions collected
from different sources helps to predict the final results during the research work.

The other way which conclusions can be drawn is the qualitative waywhich is
more effective than the first one. In the qualitative way effective opinions precise
answers and fruitful decisions recommendations and suggestions are considered.
When these things are interpreted and results are drawn then problems is easily
solved. After precise investigation on the topic which was given some important key
points have been described below. First off all there should be set rules and regulation
within the institutes and these rules should be followed by the students and the
teachers. Second one is that teacher should have authority to skip the students who
disturb the other students after some warnings. There are many schools in which
teachers are respected by the students at all. Even after any misbehave from the
student institute gives importance to student not the teacher. In this way teacher
becomes the victim of the inferiority complex which basically the fall down of the
society moral values and with the passage of time it proliferates and p
ollute the behaviors of other students and in this way whole class whole family and
whole nation becomes the slave like we are now slaves of system of brutality which is
being existed in our society Pakistan since its emergence in 1947.

Teachers should be scheduled and planned before presentation. Along with the subject
lecture a teacher should be best actor in the class. He should have communication
skills and motivational speaking ability in order to amaze the student. Especially
when student become bore during the lectures. These qualities which are hidden in the
students should be explored by the teacher. There are some parents who just fulfill
the requirements of their kids but they do not ask them daily or weekly about their
progress in different subjects. At the home there should be the proper frame of
53

accountability of the students. Parents themselves should check the daily progress of
their children. If parents see any type of negligence in their kids they should abruptly
report to teacher and arrange a meeting to see from where these problems are
emerging. Both the parents and the teachers should think how to overcome this
problem so learning of the student become productive.

For the improvements in the relationships between parents and the teachers
location of the school matters. School building should be made at that place where
parents can easily approach the teacher and the institutes. Parent should admit the kids
nearby schools for the easiness to approach the teachers. Students are not the kids.
They know well about the loss and gain in their lives s they themselves should follow
the rules and should make them responsible citizen of the society. These moral values
will emerge only when in the institutes learning and teaching processes are effective.
Otherwise all will be wasted and no comprehensive results will be there. When output
is zero then there is no need to hard work more. Students and teachers think that when
results are not effective after a massive hard work then why we do more hard work?
This type of thinking come when learning is defective in the institutes. There should
be no lack of coordination between the parents and teachers during the learning of the
students. Parents who do not bother about the learning and the future of students they
lose the future of their kids. Even some parents do not know how to assess the student
at home because they are literate.

These parents should be guided by the teachers through proper training and
workshops. In this way parents will learn to evaluate the students and their progress at
home. When the students are examined from all sides then their leaning can be
enhanced. Finally it was reported that interactions between parents and the teachers
are very essential for the effective learning of the individuals and learners. Their
learning will bright their future and indirectly will take part in the building of the
nation. That particular nation will earn its name among other nation of the world.
54

5.5 Recommendations
Before starting the research work I knew little about the cooperation of
parents and teachers. After this research work I have become able to analyze the
things more critically and have become able to deduce the results from these
observations which I have observed now and these will be beneficial for coming
generations. During my research work I shared the experiences of different regions on
this particular topic who had work hard for the effective learning of the student at
school level. Those peoples sacrificed for the future of the students and ultimately for
the nation.

For the further betterment in the cooperation of parents and teachers for
effective learning I will want to suggest some opinions and recommendations. These
can be analyzed by others and I hope will be effective at all.

1) There should be scheduled panning in the institutes in order to promote the

effective learning.
2) For teachers workshops should be held to teach them the teaching methods
and classroom Writing skills.
3) Government should provide the facilities in the institutes so that modern
methods of learning can be adopted.
4) Parents should cooperate the teachers in order build the creativity in their
children so that they can take difficult decisions in future.
5) There should be the committee of society members in which teacher also
included so that any lack can be easily detected before after affects.
6) Parents at home should teach the students moral values and the manner
through which they will behave with elders and especially with the teacher.
