In the novel of Chinua Achebe, An Anthill of Savannah, a character who is an older man

describes the significance of a story… “Only the story can continue beyond the war and the

warrior. It is the story that outlives the sound of war-drums and the exploits of the brave

fighters...the story is our escort; without it we are blind...it is the thing that makes us different

from cattle”...

Through documenting life moments, it is possible to gain an understanding of life in better ways.

Thus, an act of storytelling might be beneficial to some individuals and the entire world, just as

the religion and Bible play essential roles in the lives of some people.
