RECIPE ● 1 tbsp of fried chili in oil*(can be found in 

Wood Ear  
Asian grocery stores) 
● 1 tsp of garlic powder 

Mushroom 
● 1 tsp of soy sauce 
● ¼ tsp of salt 

Stir-fry  Preparation 
 
1. Wash the wood ear and celery in cold 
water and cut off the hard bit of each 
wood ear mushroom 
2. Cut the onion and celery into 
medium-sized pieces 
3. Boil two cups of water and put in the 
celery pieces to cook for one minute. 
Drain the water 
4. On high heat, put in the onion and stir 
with the celery for two minutes before 
putting in the wood ear. Add in the spices 
and cook the stir-fry for a few minutes 
until onions are soft. Salt and pepper to 
taste. 
 
 
Tips 
Ready in: ​30 minutes 
● You can use store-bought dried wood 
Serves: ​3 people  ear as well! Just cook it in boiling 
Total Cost: ​5 Dollars   water for 3-4 minutes until soft. 
● Celery and red onion can be changed

  red onions bring in a sweet flavor 
  that’s hard to beat!  
● It’s a stir-fry so be adventurous with 
  your spices if you’d like! Some great 
ones are chinese five spice, white 
pepper, sichuan pepper powder, etc.

● 1 small red onion
