ELIGIBILITY & ADMISSION PROCESS
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of
Eligibility 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates appearing in qualifying
examination are also eligible to apply.
Selection The eligible applicants shortlisted on the basis of CAT 2019 will be called for
Criteria Group Discussion, Personal Interview & Essay Writing.

SCHOLARSHIPS*: SMVD University offers Scholarship in form of Tuition Fee waiver to
meritorious students admitted to MBA program as follows:
Above 85 percentile in CAT Full Tuition Fee waiver for 1st year & 50% Tuition Fee waiver
for 2nd Year
80 to 85 percentile in CAT Full Tuition Fee waiver for 1st year only
75 - 80 percentile in CAT 50% tuition fee waiver for 1st year only
* The student has to maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.50 with no backlogs in each semester for continuation of
scholarship in all above cases.
Scholarships, up to 100% Tuition & Hostel Fee also available based on performance of students in each
semester.
How to Apply: The aspiring candidates have to appear in the CAT 2019 examination
notified by advertisement through IIMs CAT 2019, the details for which can be obtained
from website www.iimcat.ac.in. The candidates seeking admission in the MBA program in
the School of Business, Faculty of Management, SMVDU, shall have to apply separately
to the School of Business, SMVDU along with CAT 2019. Application Forms are
available on the University Website (www.smvdu.ac.in) and can be submitted by post
(Speed post/Courier) at the following Address: Head, School of Business, Shri Mata
Vaishno Devi University, Kakryal, Katra-182320, J&K along with a Demand Draft of
Rs.1500/- drawn in favour of “Registrar, SMVDU” payable at Katra. The last date for
