Name of War Who's Involved Reason for the War Outcome of the War
Happened
Based on my research, there are several reasons why people wage wars against each other. One
of which is to gain more power. Powerful countries instill fear among weaker countries which can
be used as a means to gain control over them and their resources. Another reason is to acquire
resources which can be used for personal gain. In the Gulf War, Saddam Hussein saw to kill two
birds with one stone by overpowering Kuwait and gaining control of their large oil reserves. He
thought that by conquering Kuwait, he will expand his power and influence in the nearby
countries at the same time taking over their resources. Another reason for waged wars is
freedom. Evidently in the Korean War, most Koreans opted to live a democratic life rather than
being under a communist rule which showed in their fight for liberty against the North Koreans
and their allies.
