Project Area, Scope, and Objectives

The objectives of this exercise are as follows:
- To create a project proposal and plan for 3-wire leveling using double run
- To check and determine the accuracy of level lines and if they are within geodetic level
standards.
- To adjust leveling data using least squares adjustment

Pre-Survey Data Requirements

The essential data needed before proceeding to the actual survey are (1) locations of benchmark
points for the overall level network, (2) elevations of these benchmarks, (3)

Network Design

Methods and Procedures

The vertical network will be established by means of connecting level lines to benchmarks using
differential three-wire leveling.

Manpower and Equipment Resources

Time Table and Work Planning

Week 1 - reconaissance and project planning: these will include observation or determination of points
and planning of possible routes in order to complete the vertical network

Weeks 2-5 - the actual field work will be done, which is three-wire differential leveling (double run)
performed using an autimatic level and stadia rods. It is important that the marked points during
reconaissance will be utilized during this leveling procedure
Week 6 - Data computations including adjustment and accuracy checking; compilation of required
information for the reports and submission
