Design and Fabrication of Smoked-Fish Processing Machine with Brine Curing

TITLE OF THESIS

Brief Rationale:
The study aims to develop and fabricate a smoked-fish processing machine that integrates 3 basic processs in
producing “tinapa”. It includes three process namely boiling, drying and smoking. Also by having this machine,
the workload of tinapa producers will be reduced.

Objective:
 To design and fabricate a smoked-fish processing machine that will improve the traditional way of fish
preservation through smoking with the information gathered from local tinapa producers as basis.
 To evaluate the performance of the machine.

Methodology:
 Preliminary design involving the use of engineering theories and application software such as
solidworks.
 Prototyping techniques to be used in fabrication process.
 Conducting various experiments and survey to obtain relevant information in producing tinapa
effieciently.
