HUMAN RESOURCE PLANNING RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION

Job advertisement that I have chosen is an offer for Admin and HR Executive post at a food
company. The first strategy that this company implements is setting some requirements in
experience and qualities for the job offered. The requirements that has been included are
professional qualification preferably in human resource management, speaking and writing skills
in English, IT skills, knowledge of employment and labour law and soft skills such as good
communication skills, able to work independently and able to multi task and a minimum
experience of 2 years in HR (Human Resource) or administration.

The next strategy that this company implements is a detailed scope of the job offers in their job
advertisement. This job will be responsible in administration such as to maintain employee files,
assist with payroll and implement HR activities to improve effectiveness and efficiency. This job
is also responsible in handling maintenance issues, purchasing, assisting the marketing team
and secretarial work for MD which is to maintain company files and handle the correspondence
of the company.

In this advertisement, it is also stated some lines to attract the potential applicants to apply for
the job such as;

“...to create a work place that is rewarding to all of its stakeholders.”

“Attractive salaries and the opportunity to move up in a growing food service company awaits
the right candidates.”

This company implements the high-involvement management in this job advertisement as


stated in the lines. Job applicants will be more interested if they are given better opportunity in
their work sector. As Benson (2006) has stated that high-involvement work practices are a
specific set of human resource practices that focus on employee decision making, power,
access to information, training and incentives.

Applicants who are interested in this job will need to send in their CV with details of two non-
