single graphic user interface The first-ever single graphic user

accelerator interface accelerator makes
computers to run faster. Above
all, this dynamic computer gadget
provides millions of computer
users in the Philippines and
around the world, to use the
principles of graphics for specific
computer commands. Last but not
the least, this particular
marvelous device facilitates data
processing efficiently and swiftly
in a speed of light. Diosdado Banatao
Fast-drying ink Basically, this fast-drying ink is
water resistant. Therefore, it will
not clog the opening of this
amazing writing instrument.
Through continuous usage, it will
not blot or fade with time and
age.

The first Philippine train Significantly, this kind of mass
transportation system is really
environmental friendly because it
has lesser emissions of carbon.
The design prototype of this train
makes use of triple-charging
systems, a solar panel, pedals and
quite a number of windmills.
“How does his world –class
invention work?” The renewable
energy which comes from the
triple system output of the locally
-made train will be swiftly
charged, using the six batteries
which are connected to the train
itself. Then, this will be further
boosted by the 24- volt motor
that will make the train run fast,
safe and convenient. Engineer Bryan Yuson
“The Patriot”, a three-in one fire,
as the “most reliable buddy in fire
fighting activities”. It is mainly
because this protégé of Anos is a
fire truck, an ambulance and a
rescue vehicle rolled into one
magnificent invention. As a result,
the multi-dimensional capabilities
of the “Patriot” make it possible
for firefighters and rescue workers
to perform their noble duties of
saving millions of lives, while
providing an immediate first aid
treatment to fire victims.

Modular Housing System Housing system which can be
strongly built for a couple of
weeks or less. His architectural
creation is called the “Modular
Housing System”. According to
Vasquez, his innovative housing
system utilizes materials which
are described as “prefabricated”.
As a result, this architectural
masterpiece can withstand even
the most destructive and
strongest typhoons and even
earthquakes which could possibly
hit the Philippines unexpectedly. Edgardo Vasquez
Drug Detection This ambitious and notable
Filipino doctor has devised a
method that will accurately
determine the presence of drug
substances in one’s body,
especially in pregnant women. As
a determinant, the doctors will
examine the traces of a baby’s
stools. His exemplary invention,
was already used and recognized
across the globe for drug
dependency problems among
innocent and feeble babies
Dr Enrique Ostrea
Incubator  an incubator made out
of bamboo, designed for use in
rural communities without
electrical power.
An incubator is an apparatus
used to maintain
environmental conditions
suitable for newborn baby.
It is used in pre-term births or
for some ill full-term babies.

Videophone The two-way television
telephone or
videophone in 1955
patented as a "photo
phone signal separator
network."

Water-powered car Daniel Dingel started working
on a water-powered car and
prototype in 1969. His hydrogen
reactor uses electricity from a 12-
volt car battery to transform
ordinary tap water with salt into
deuterium oxide or heavy
water. Dingel’s car has never
been patented and
commercialized because of
what he suspects as an anti-
Dingel car conspiracy by
multinational oil companies. Daniel Dingel
The first artificial reef in the In 1977 Acala set up the first
Philippines artificial reef in the Philippines in
Dumaguette in 1977 when he
worked for the Philippine
government as Secretary of
Environment and National
Resources.

Angel Alcala
Researched methods of Researched methods of producing Julian Banzon
producing alternative fuels alternative fuels. He experimented
with the production of ethyl esters
fuels from sugarcane and
coconut, and invented a means of
extracting residual coconut and
invented a means of extracting
residual coconut oil by a chemical
process rather than a
physical process.

The one-chip video camera The inventor of the one-chip

video camera was Marc Loinaz, a
Filipino resident of New Jersey
who works with Lucent
Technologies. He was featured in
the July 1999 issue of Discover
Magazine. The 1-chip camera
uses a single computer chip to
process the colors the
camera sees. Most videos for
a Web site used with a 1-chip
camera mainly because the
video is compressed in one chip
camera so it transmits more
quickly. Marc Loinaz
Sing- Along-System (SAS) He developed a sing along system
in 1975 and patented it in the
1980s called his sing-along
system "Minus-One", now holds
the patent for the device now
commonly known as the
"karaoke machine". Roberto del
Rosario, a Filipino, is claiming the
right for the invention of the Sing-
Along-System (SAS) that
eventually led to the development
of Karaoke, a
Japanese term for "singing
without accompaniment". Roberto del Rosario
The Superkalan The Superkalan is a stove that
can be powered by any substance
that burns. Narciso Mosuela of the
Filipino province of La Union
invented it and received the Best
Design award from the Food and
Agricultural Organization (FAO) in
1987. Among the substances that
can power the Superkalan are
wood, paper, dried dung and
leaves, corncobs and coco shells.
Mosuela has also invented a
functional rice thresher.

Narciso Mosuela
Enriched Rice Developed “Enriched Rice,” a rice
variety fortified with vitamin B1,
which helps prevent beriberi. His
discovery helped reduce the cases
of beriberi in the Philippines and
in other countries.
