Related to a product offering that would be considered a commodity, identify three (3) key variables

that would impact your choice of entry strategies. Using specific examples, how might these
variables impact your analysis?
The first variable is the number of substitutes that is available in the domestic market of Hong Kong
including tablets that are used as alternatives for sugar.
The second variable includes the habits of the consumer related to use of sugar in their everyday
eating habits. If the consumers are not concious about the addition of sugar in their food, the sales
will be higher.
The third variable will include the level of direct competition that is faced by a singular sugar brand
in the domestic market of Hong Kong. If the competition is tough, the new commodity will have to
work hard to earn high profits.
Keeping in mind these three variables, the entrance strategy will be different.
