1. Discuss Polya's Problem Solving Process.

(Minimum: 200 words)

George Polya is one of the mathematician who study and devolop a strategy on problem solving. Its is
during the year 1945 when he published hes book entitled "How to Solve It" in which the content
outlined a strategy in solving problem. Polya's Problem Solving Techniques consist four steps.

The first step is Understand the Problem, Polya believe that in order to answer the problem we must be
able to understand an interpret it in our own way. It requires the need to know the questions ask in
problem, the information given, what is the requirement needed and ofcourse what measures does it
need to solve it right. The second step is Devise a Plan, this step has variety of techniques, in this step
we provide equations, organize a list, tabulate data, look for pattern, draw a diagram etc. this is step
were in we are figuring possible ways of solving the problem. The third step of the problem solving
process is to Carry out the plan. Once you have choosen the devise plan from the step two the third step
follows. This step requires patience and accuracy of the details because solving using the first plan may
not work and you might need to choose another and be accurate for clarifications in the details of your
solving process. Lastly is the step four which is to Review the Solution, once the problem has been solve
you must check the solution from possible errors. Check the result of the problem using given
informations and situation. If the answer is acceptable and if the method can be useful to solve another
problem.

These following steps are Polya's technique in solving process. It is an important note to remember
these in solving problems to make it easier for us to solve it.
